How long have you been playing Minecraft: Since Beta -- I don't remember exactly. Beta 1.3 maybe?
Do you accept our rules: Yes
What type of player are you: I like large, repetitive tasks. I like finding a mountain and building a staircase to the top, or making a road connecting two places. Or digging a tunnel between two towns. I'm not the most artistic person, but if someone else is working on something, and they need a wall from here to there? I'm all over that.
What can you offer to our community: I'm great at not blowing anything up. Also digging giant holes.
If YOU read the thread (post 1 and 2 is enough) you would see that it started with the first reply to the OP bringing up the subject, possibly because the idea of MineCraft without blocks is so hard to grasp. Kind of like trying to grasp the idea that other people have a right to their beliefs.
Yes, the first reply was a troll. He's not a cool guy, either. But if the original poster had just ignored it, or dismissed it and moved on with his Minecraft suggestion, this thread wouldn't have become nearly as derailed. Instead, he chose to make this thread about his strongly-held beliefs. Does
I'm a misionary, I could care less about offending people.
really sound like the response of someone who isn't trying to start a religious flamewar? What about
I would much rather have my old avatar rather than this one, but the mods on here seem anti-christian.
How did this thread turn into a religious discussion? Because of his avatar? If you're offended by his avatar, get adblock and block that image: cured, saved by the lord or whatever you believe in. Nobody cares about your religion, and nobody should. Now let's talk minecraft people
If you read the thread, you would see that all of the religious discussion stemmed from the original poster complaining about his OWN avatar and how he had a better, more realistic one, but then the evil anti-Christian mods made him change it.

1) 10,000 religons? [citation needed]
3) There is a large ammount of scientific evidence supporting the Bible's claims, as well as the fact that any logically, unopinionated, undoctrinated scietific study points to an intelligent creator.
Perhaps you should practice what you preach.
4) Who said I was trying to brainwash anyone? Don't make idiotic, misinformed assumptions.
I believe this is the definition he was using:
brain·wash·ing
2) any method of controlled systematic indoctrination, especially one based on repetition or confusion
I believe "repetition or confusion" is an accurate description of your actions in this thread.

hello good sirs,
recently while building my garden i was putting some fence down when suddenly it turned invisible. Confused i mined it back up and tried again, but still no luck. So i tried re logging, and it was still invisible.
It's a known issue. You can rectify it by forcing a lighting check on that square (for instance, by placing and removing a torch right next to the fence).
no you see, you cant cover a block with redstone on it with another block, with wire, you can cover up the wire with another block so it looks better
This is not possible to do with the game as currently coded. Every block takes up a full m^2 of space in the Minecraft world, even tiny things like redstone. Only one block can occupy any m^2. You can't have a wire that goes 'between' blocks, because there's no "between" for it to be in.
It's because you were generating new chunks in the rain. The same thing happens when you generate new chunks at night, but as soon as it's day, the light makes the mushrooms pop and disappear. You never noticed this because you didn't explore new areas at night, whereas you feel safe exploring new lands during the rain.
One way you can get a little more durability out of wood, is by using wood slabs. With a blast resistance of 30, two stacked on top of each other will have 60, which is twice the blast resistance of cobblestone.
This happens when you generate chunks in a different Minecraft version. If you started this world in 1.3, for instance, but didn't explore to this area until now, the differences in the terrain generating engine cause chunks to be created without regard to the existing chunks.
Is a spawner capable of overriding the normal spawning rules?
In short, yes.
A spawner has a range of four blocks and it will create mobs at the same vertical height as the spawner provided there is space for its mob type to be generated and the light level within the spawning radius remains below seven.
Mob spawners make mobs in mid-air at the same height as the mob spawner block, as long as it's dark enough and there's space. You can fix your trap by making there be no 2x2 space in line with the monster spawner, but outside of your intended spawning area.

Up and right ARE positive. The problem is that in this case, up is South, not North.

Change your lighting settings. (I think SmoothLighting is the one for this particular issue.)

The underground players just need a single sapling.
So the overworld players should never give them any. Monopoly!

Blast resistance is not additive.

Minecraft is not a word. It's a proper noun. That's why it's not in the dictionary.
Ever wonder why things like Apple, Internet Explorer, or Vanilla Ice aren't in the dictionary? Now you know.
