My new host suspended my account because of its content management system. I'm really disappointed. Now I have to find a new host. Again. For the second time this week.
It has nothing to do with the launcher, or any kind of mods. Client mods do not take effect in SMP, for obvious reasons.
What the problem is is your latency to the server you're playing on. If the ping (in ms) is over 1000 (1 second), consider your latency "bad" and stop visiting that server.
In short, you just have a bad connection to that server.
Only one other I know has the same problem, and he has the new launcher. He lives much closer to the server as well.
People around me (in my country atleast) have no problem, and they have the old launcher.
Think about it...
You're using the 1.3 launcher.
People using the 1.2 launcher have no problems. Solution: wait for the server to update. 1.3 client is not compatible with 1.2 server.

= the distance between you and the serverPossible, but I highly doubt it seeing as I have never had problems before, and people further than I are connecting normally.
= connection speedDoubtful, I have a pretty nice speed, much faster than most and never had problems before.
= computer specs7 Year old windows XP. Just got more ram and better graphics card this past christmas, so once again, doubtful.

Chat lags with a time of about... 5 minutes, I have no idea really I crashed around 5 minutes.
Haven't been seeing anything about this happening to anyone else.
Oh, and night and day is lagged behind by about 7 minutes.
