Hello. Recently after playing my backup of Beta 1.3 I realized that minecraft has less of the aspect it used to. While this mod will not bring back that aspect, I hope that it enhances survival.
Request:
Somebody that can code, or do advanced textures (IE Brewing Stands, Cauldrons etc)
Idea:
An improvement on the basic tools in minecraft, this mod will allow you to upgrade your tools with other materials (Iron, Bones, etc)

MC+ Is a texture pack meant to look like some HD packs without the HD patchers.
MC+ Is a Work In Progress texture pack and is meant to be fully released around the 8th of March.

I can't tell if you guys are xenophobic, afraid of conformity, or genuinely prefer the older versions of the game. Granted, not all the updates are good, but don't you want the rest of the new stuff?

2. 1.0 Ruined it. Your some random like magical wizard. Enchanting? Potions? Dragons? Really. Fail.
And the worst of it all:

*Facepalm* Found out that I still have a version on another computer in infdev. Epic fail there. I'm thinking of downgrading that one somehow to Survival Test
So I decided to start a legit world but play completely underground... I found the BIGGEST CAVE SYSTEM EVER but the problem is that I can never actually know where I am without feeling overwhelmed my the winding tunnels...
How do you navigate your caves? (and strongholds, mineshafts, etc)
Helpful hint: You may know to use torches to mark the way, but use groups of 4 torches or 1 redstone torch, to help navigate to vital area's or entrances/exits. Hope this helped!
Am I the last person in 1.4_01? I'm not missing much, so I'm not updating. I like my peaceful little world, without things like Endermen attacking me. And I don't have to worry about silverfish. Anyways, I want to see if anyone is in 1.4_01 still. Reply with your version number!
I'm currently working on a x512 pack. With optimine/optifog I'm able to get 40-50FPS on my 3 year old LAPTOP. There really is no need to have a super computer. Just know how to allocate memory to Java and use optimine.
There is a significant difference between x512 and x256. The clarity on the x512 is simply astounding and jagged edges are heavily refined where items may actually look smooth instead of saw-like.
I've been able to mess around and run resolutions up to x768. I'm sure the game can support higher, I'm just out of memory. 4GB of RAM only goes so far. =S
My computer gets 416 FPS when running a HD texture pack. And then it crashes when I run terraria >.<
