decent map, but it got pretty slow at one point, after having done all of the not too hidden things... i went around in creative and found a bunch of other things you included--the mossy cobble, the diamond chest--but there's really no hint as to how to get to them other than by sheer brute force
OMFG, person who torrented his minecraft! I would like to ban them from forum... How can be someone so much rude? Pirate his minecraft + acts on forum OMFG!
i think you need to reevaluate your thoughts, because guess what
i pirated minecraft
if you were to check my payment status, well
i bought minecraft literally days after having pirated it. try not to be so closed minded, thinking that pirating is the end of the road
Here's my problem: I put everything in the minecraft folder and when I try to run it, checking only BetterLight, I get this:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /Users/Walt/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft
at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method)
at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:179)
at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:131)
at MCPatcher.applyPatch(MCPatcher.java:107)
at MainForm$3$1.run(MainForm.java:86)
at MainForm.run(MainForm.java:226)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:680)
Any help?

1.5 - Ambient Occlusion is now known as BetterLight, which is basically a complete rewrite of AO but now incorporating light smoothing. Plus side: should be less buggy, hopefully, maybe. Looks nicer. Minus side: currently BetterGrass requires it in order to run. Still, shiny things!

save the game fairly often--hit esc and wait for that "saving level" notice to disappear
the game still isn't complete. notch's company is still new and small, so you can't expect them to cater to your every desire whenever you scream
try to be as patient as possible and just enjoy what you have--it's already a hell of a game
(also try to be grateful, you're not entitled to as much as you seem to think)

is directly related and pretty much answers to my question: once you convert your save file, you can't convert it back (for the time being)?
or am i not understanding what you meant by pack/unpack/repack...

it isn't

do you know why
you're taking an insignificant issue and presenting it as if it's gamebreaking or at least high-priority

can't let you do that, starfox
i read the first couple of pages of the thread, and the sheer amount of lapses that
yeah, not gonna happen. too big of a favor to ask forumgoers here

where did this 5-day measurement come from? i thought it was fairly random
also, i'd add a torch next to each sapling; not sure if your current light level is high enough

instead of giving up, i got my gear together and ran in one direction until i found some (only 5 though, so the running's still going to happen)
that world is now over 10mb.

it's even in the patcher
please do a better job of reading

as much as i disagree with playing on peaceful, the amount of resources is still sort of an accomplishment
it'd be far better (and imo more fun, fear = thrill = fun) with mobs on, though
normal isn't even that bad... just gotta get a few torches to get started with spelunking
