As a YouTuber, it's hard to find such a class server. This is it. The community is friendly, witty, and chatty. It's fairly easy to make new friends.

Aperture Laboratories is probably hardest Puzzle map you've done.

Featuring puzzles that don't seem to be solvable, it will leave you in total frustration!

The story is set before the creation of the Portal Gun, so you will not need iChun's Portal mod.

The map features the carlotta4th's Precisely Portal texture pack, which has been modified to the puzzles needs.

It also features song using Noteblocks.


Like most other adventure maps, the rules are as follows:

1. No Breaking or Placing Blocks, unless instructed to.

2. Play on "Normal" difficulty

3. Do not use Mods to help you finish the map, that's cheating

4. HAVE FUN!

v1.2 30/4/11 - First Attempt to fix disappearing paintings / mine carts glitch
v1.1 29/4/11 - Added Obsidain to the creeper room, raised the roof on a couple of the test chambers
v1.0 29/4/11 - Aperture Laboratories Released!

If you are having troubles with the map, check this to see if there's anything you can do.

I'm not sure, but if someone check to see if all the missing minetracks are the new powered ones... It could just be that it's a glitch with the 1.5, and the minecrafts being missing are infact bugging out cause of it. As for the paintings.... Again, could be 1.5, in which case it's minecraft's fault, and not Dowsey. I had no problems with the map (save for the f*cking water jumping puzzel, which I sucked at badly). For the ad download, Check you're cookies. If you don't have the site's cookie allowed, it's not going to download. (I checked it out, as alot of things need cookies.)

1. Download the .zip file

2. Using your preferred archiver, un-zip it.

3. Place the "Aperture Laboratories" folder in saves.

4. Place the "Aperture Laboratories Texture.zip" in texturepacks.

Now your set to go!

I made this while i was playing with the new sticky piston mod. it was never meant to
become an adventure map but it did, and it is very fun.

This is actually Part 2 of a trillogy that may or may not be made.
You are technically starting in the middle of the story...a la George Lucas.

This map should take you about 45 mins.

STORY!!!
----------------

Part 1: Someone has been running you through some tests. You volunteered but was not
what you had expected. The only possession you had with you was a picture of
your family. You make a deal with this person that if you complete an almost
impossible test he will let you free. He agrees and you trust him because he
has never lied to you. After completing the task you find yourself in a room
by yourself...the man begins to talk to you.
Part 2: (FREEDOM) This is where you begin:

RULES!!!!!

-From the chest you may take 1 armor suit, 15 torches, 1 cooked pork, and 1-2 swords dependng on how good your skills are

-You must play on easy, normal or hard

-You may only use items that are given to you

-You may NOT drop any items, 'drop' key = cheating

-You may not place any blocks whatsoever

-You may not break ANYTHING...except eggs and monsters

-You should set the draw distance to short.

-You may place torches
