The suggestion pretty much takes away any sort of 'difficulty' or 'challenge' you have when starting up a new world; without that sort of feel it would render the game boring near instantaneously. No support.
Counter Question: Why not make the first floor ceiling out of a layer of wooden planks, then put a layer stone bricks on that, then build the second floor from that?
Not gonna lie, this post does actually have some good details in it. The way this was written, it makes the idea not sound half bad at all; I'll support it.
I really like this idea, truly. It's like mixing the Chivalry style combat into Minecraft, an excellent idea. Realistically though, the chance of it being integrated into the actual game is slim. I would definitely love to see a mod of this though. Semi support.
Reading over this twice or so I've come to my conclusion; I don't see this happening at all in the vanilla game. Don't get me wrong here, the amount of detail put into this post is really the backbone of the entire post, but beyond that it just seems a bit too much for the vanilla game. I mean adding all these items for a single mob seems a bit overwhelming and a bit ridiculous. No matter how much care and detail has gone into this post, it's time has not come. I do not support.
Idea shows promise, but I can guarantee that it will not be implemented into the vanilla game. I would like to see someone create a mod that does improve horseback combat.
There are already 36 slots in the inventory (27 excluding the hotbar), plus a pack mule if needed. Adding more item slots discourages the cautious elements of the game. With only 36 slots you need to carefully think about how you're going to manage it, because it will fill up quickly.

Other than that, this idea has been suggested multiple times in the past, in addition the initial post itself is way too vague and redundant. (Probable thread lock)
The idea shows promise, but really in hindsight it really only serves as a more glorified bucket with the addition of holding potions. Other than that, it's purely a cosmetic object. I really don't have an opinion on this suggestion as of now, if more details are added, then I will look back into this post.
Minecraft's fun comes from the difficulty that the game presents you. Having this mode would completely destroy that purpose, as well as break the games survival immersion. You might as well call this new gamemode "Cakewalk"

This is actually a sensible as well as a doable idea. It's small changes like this that add a bit more to the game itself. You've got my support.
