    optifine compatible forge .. this I have to find, that would be awesome. I wasn't able to get Better Hud working on Optifine yet, not sure if there is a setting I can't find or not.

    Will there ever be a version that works with Optifine ? I had to install Forge just to use this mod and love it but Optifine lets me do more with the video settings of the game itself, which I miss.

    One more question ... is there a way you can put the Entity Count into your mod ? You know, the E:# you see when you hit F3 ? That is the only piece of information I see missing from having everything I want on the screen :)

    That makes sense, thanks for the update. I think it was Zyin's HUD or something even older that showed when they could breed again but that was several game updates ago. Not a huge deal, I can just time out 6 minutes to be safe and feed again.

    A buddy told me about your mod so I immediately checked it out and was blown away at how many option it has and how customizable it is. This thing is amazing. I've recommended it to several people and I know at least a few have downloaded it as well.


    I have a question about the Breed Indicator. It doesn't seem to be working for me. Even after I breed two animals, it still has the heart and food symbols showing even though I can't breed them for a few minutes


    Any idea what I'm doing wrong to use that feature ?

    No idea but I wish he would come back or give his code to someone who would make something just like this HUD. It was absolutely amazing and I've never found anything that does what this one did.

    I used to use Zyin's HUD which was great cuz it had your coords, the time, compass and a few other things all on a single line at the top of your screen. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated since 1.8.8 and it's uncertain if it ever will.


    One of the main things I miss is it would put a symbol on the head of domestic animals if they were hungry or not (wheat for cows, carrot for pigs, etc).



    Does anyone know of a mod that will do that same thing ?

    Yeah, got all the custom colors checked but still nothing. I tested the profile on my name and on mcpatcher 1.8.1 but still no dice. Also tried it on my texture pack and on the default pack but nada.

    Hm, I re-installed it and patched MCPatcher and turned off Smooth Lighting but it's still a no go. Not sure what the issue is but I have a feeling it has something to do with user error lol.

    I used to use DangerZone, which is a great texture pack that shows red on the blocks that can spawn mobs. I used this pack all the time to show me where to put torches to prevent hostile mobs from spawning in my area. Problem is, it doesn't seem to work in1.8+



    Does anyone know of an update to DangerZone to make it work in 1.8+ or a different mod or texture pack that will show where hostile mobs can and can't spawn at ?

    On my server, we've had issues with lag so there's a policy in place that farms like this need some sort of shut off value. I did find that putting a dispenser in the ceiling facing down works for water. I ran rs dust over them in the ceiling and had a lever below that will work the water flow though. Thanks for the tip about where they can spawn, I thought it might be the source block only.

    I'm looking to build a squid farm in survival but I'm not sure how to do it so that it had an on/off switch. I like having those on all my mob farms so I don't get swamped in whatever loot they give out, like ink. Any ideas ?

    I'm not sure what language it's in, but I do know that even if you type everything in exactly, it sometimes doesn't work. I've even copy and pasted a command that someone else had in their command block on my server but then it won't work on my command block. Very frustrating.

    Thanks, I figured out how to use that site. Once I got going, it turned out to be a lot easier than it looked at first. I was glad to see that there's a ton more pixels than on the skindex that you can color in. It didn't turn out as good as a picture but it was fairly close. Thanks for the info !
