posted a message on lucky block server not working
    Quote from Razoul_05»

This is a great way to not get any more help. There are lots of things that could mean "not working".

    1. The server won't load.

    2. Clients can't connect

    3. The game crashes

    4. The mod doesn't do what is expected

You need to help us to help you and check the attitude at the door.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

What do you mean by "not working"?

Is the jar file not starting? Does it start and your friend can't connect? Does it start then close?

Reply and I will attempt to help

posted a message on Most Depressing Experience on a Server?

Not only was this a depressing experience on a server, but it was my server. My new friend just joined (who I will admit is pretty nerdy). I guess my friend currently online was pretty jealous because he just started to insult him non-stop. I eventually had to ban my own friend from my own server. The next day my friend who was banned was so mad that he started to hack, crashing my server and leaving me unable to load the world. All of this led to me losing one of my closest friends and my awesome server world.

Doesn't meet the age requirement? The first page states that the age limit is 16!

    Age: 13

What you think makes a good Minecraft server: Not too many people (~20 people), nice staff, nice people to talk to, and chill survival.

Why do you want to join us?: Everything that I saw on this post made me want to join! It looks like you have a safe, malicious free survival, nice staff, not too many players, and even near vanilla survival.

It's overheating. That is what causes computers to shut off by themselves without warning.

Yeah, I'd say that too. One thing you can do though if it's overheating is buy a laptop cooling pad, since there is nothing you can really do on your computer that will help cooling.

posted a message on I have no player shadow in any shader pack. (1.8)
    Quote from jcm2606»
Which shader pack are you using?

One thing that users of shaders have to realise is there's a difference between the shader mod, and a shader pack. The shader mod simply adds a deferred shading pipeline to the game's rendering engine, enabling the use of shading technology with Minecraft. Alone it doesn't serve any use visually. That's where shader packs come into play. You can download a shader pack such as SEUS or RudoPlays, and the pack will contain a bunch of shader programs that take an image supplied by the shader mod and apply a bunch of code to change it in realtime.

Shadows, reflections, etc are not part of the shader mod, but are part of the shader pack, so you will need to tell us what pack you're both using.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I'm actually using SEUS as of now.

hi, i have the same exact problem, back when i used shaders in version 1.7.10, i had no problems

this started happening in version 1.8... please anyone have any solutions?

I figured out a solution: If you install Optifine Ultra B6 first (without forge) and then run the karyonix shader mod installer, there will be a dropdown. Choose the Optifine 1.8 B6 and it fixes the shadows! (make sure to toggle connected textures when you open minecraft)

I have just started using shaders and everything is fine except for the fact that my player doesnt have a shadow.

As you can see here, this tower has a shadow but I don't:

    Any help is appreciated.

posted a message on Which Sword is better for PVP?
Sharpness V is the best, but alternating would be even better.

For example, use your fire aspect first to catch him on fire, then start with the sharpness.

First by learning java, it helps and don't follow in my footsteps where i started learning java FROM modding :P you will get quite a lot of 'scolding' xD
    Quote from jabelar
Honestly, reading a book (yes a real book, not just online tutorials) is a really good way to understand the key concepts. A book is better than just browsing online info or randomly trying to mod because books will emphasize important topics that may elude a casual browser. There are really basic concepts about classes, inheritance, order of operations and stuff that are foundation for all good programming.

Thanks a ton for replying! But I was wondering where I could get one of these Java books?

I was wondering where people learn to code and how early they learn it? I really want to mod but I have no idea how to do it! :P
Anyways, please do respond so I can figure out where to start out with modding. Thanks!

I am thinking of starting a small YouTube channel showing small Minecraft videos. I have tried some screen recorders but they seem to be really laggy. I was wondering what your favorite screen recorder is and if it could be free. Any answers are appreciated!
*EDIT* I forgot to mention, I use Windows 7.
