I might aswell join the sugestion train:

How about a cart that can transport cars and tanks? Sins it is named Rails of War, it would be a cool feature to have a cart that transports a veichle. Maybee it would be possible to talk to Manus, who have created alot of good models for Flans mod, and ask if it is possible to borrow one or two models, and put it on a flatbed cart? Like the T-34, or the Kübelwagen? He is gladley to give people parts of his work to make new Flans mod stuff, so mybee he will help out here as well? The cart will have no spesial function other then to look wonderfull, and be a good detail to a Rails of War and Flans Mod world in the game.Manus Kübelwagen and his russian tanks.

A cart to move livestock would be usefull. The function of the carts is not needed to be mentioned.

Different carts for transporting goods and people is always nice to have. We have the russian freight cart, and the passenger coatch, but it is always nice to have others to choose from.

Maybee a snowplow would do great. A nice little detail to a railway across the mountains. The function could be to remove snow from tracks, and that tracks in snowy biomes would be covered in snow during snowf

    all.

It was mentioned that the 1.7.2 version might work on the 1.7.10 version of minecraft as well (wich have been confirmed). I figured out that the lamps, and maybee the clock as well, are corrupting the world. So rememeber to remove lamps and clocks before you start using the 1.7.10, or the world will not open, and Minecraft will crash.

But a .rar file is a zipped file. You just need to unzip it with WinRar or a program like that.

It is a zip file. Did you click on the right download? (There is just one, but still. It is the button witch says "Minecraft World Save" on the planetminecraft site)

And thank you for that, KGibbons

I can finaly tell you people that my Rails of War map is now up for download. I have not made much new sins tha last time I showed you pictures. I have started making a city though, but there is no railway conections there at the moment. Just trams... Note that there might be a id missmatch. It was that when another person tried to install it on his computer, and the rails was missing. In that case you must place the rails yourself. But there is gravel under every rail, so it is easy to know where they are suposed to be. And give me a heads up if you are able to drive the locomotive. Becouse I am not, and I still don't know why.

And pictures of the new town if anybody is interested. It does not have rails yet, but they have trams (But not driveable...)

    A short message to TheModsKid.

When I look at the latest pages, your name is on 70 % off the posts... Could you please not write so many? It is possible to ask several questions in one post, you know. Not having three off them in a row. And the crashmessage that you posted could be posted in a spoiler, or on pastebin with a link. The last thing I would like to mention is that questions like "where to download worldpainter" is easily answerd by googeling Worldpainter. Please take thins in consideration when you post new messages.

Can you send a picture of that loop, looks interesting

There is nothing spectacular about it. Most of it is inside the mountain. There was a picture way back somewhere with a little bit of rails between two tunnels. Thats the part of the loop that is in daylight. The rest is in a tunnel, and comes out on a bridge.

Miner_9751: If I have to make a long tunnel, I usually use McEdit. Or you can use TNT. Whatever rows your boat.

    Hi guys,

Iv'e been following this mod since it's creation. I personally think that naiten puts absolutely tonnes of work into the dynamics, physics, and the bloody details of his trains and other place able items. However, with me recently looking at the anniversary forums page, I was wondering when the big black steam locomotive would be introduced to the game (and mod), also perhaps adding content packs like countries or historical ages like 1950's for example (the age of the diesels). However I would like to see some more railway like blocks like signals , which can be used by a signal box or bill boards that display trains and locations.

I know he has requested that we don't bother him yet about rolling stock , but these are some trains I would like to see in minecraft :

    (...)

If you have followed the mod from the creation, then you would know how stupid it is to post a "wishlist" afther a hundred of people already have, and everybody got the same answer. Make your own mod if you absolutely want these. Naiten is no Santa Claus.

The bit I'm finding hardest is laying the tracks, Its very hard for me to remove all the right blocks, anyone got a solution?
Edit: Also the Yer's htibox does not seem to agree with my station.

Either remember the pattern the turns use. It is not so hard to remember, sins it is only two different turns :) Another way you can do it is to make a turn of a material, like gravel. Then you copy it with MCEdit, and just paste it where you need it in the world. Just remember to turn of the "copy air". That way it will only paste the turn, and not delete the area arround. Personally I just make the turn in the game by remembering the "pattern". But it might be easier to use MCedit I supose. And remember to always remove the block next to the rails. In the turns aswell. Good luck!

I've installed the WorldPainter, and then I thought - what the heck, I can shape the world for the rails, so let's do it!
So I flattened the canyon part, and gonna build my track right through it.

That is a good sollution. I can't do that myself, sins I have already builded on the map. If I take it to worldpainter now, it ****s up everything. I don't like long tunnels either. So boring to drive through. I don't know if you do this or not, but when you are digging tunnels, you should use MCEdit. Then you just use a few clicks, and you got a tunnel through the mountain.

The mods I use, miner_9751, is Rails of War, Flans Mod, Custom NPC, Archimedies Ships mod, and Optifine. But the only thing you need for this map is Rails of War. There is a coupple of veichles on the map, but it is not a big loss to not include them. And for the moment there is no NPC there either. And the map will come out for download, railroader. But not yet. Im not sure if I should wait for the update first. Thank you Foamer. Looking forward to see it.

Thats a shame with the glitch, Dumboldoor. I was waiting for new photos from you.

    Oh, nice!
I started out with a town in Square Bay (on the right side of the map, where the red pass leads to), and I tried to make tracks throug this creek, but failed 'cause it raises straight up and I could not raise it in a proper way. So I had to dig a long climbing up tunnel. I will show you soon.

Yes, it seems problematic to make the railway down there, sins some of the part where you have to use slopes, the terrain is not going straight. The only sollution is a tunnel, sadly. I try to make as fes tunnels as possible. I was thinking of making a larger harbourtown down there. The square bay seems like a good spot for the docks. But it will take a bit more planing to build down there then to the other places.

    A few photos:

The main building for the papermill. I also layed the fundation of a new building that will come there aswell.

A classic red barn. I have builded a few barns around the map as simple details.

Here is the powerplant. I also builded a dam up in the mountains. The building itself looks a bit boring at the moment. But I supose I will add something more another time. As you might see, there is not much room at this place. But I supose I should add something else there aswell. Some sort of factory might be the thing to have.

When you are in worldPainter you can click to view your map in 3D. He just took a screenshot of that and sent me it.
