If by battlegear you mean battlcraft, that mod had its name changed to this a long time ago. And no, because battlecraft was for something like 1.8.1, while this mod ( and the quivers) is for minecraft 1.2.5, they are incompatible.

Do you even know what this mod is about? It isn't supposed to be a new RPG mod with NPC's and all sorts of weapons. This mod is basically a shield mod with a few additional weapons he felt like adding. The mod is not at it's full potential, no. But new NPC's was not something tat was going to be added, go get Humans+ if you want that.

This mod started off as an NPC mod. There was knights and archers, and the knights could dual wield and they had shields and stuff, while the archers had quivers. People started wanting to be able to dual wield, and then Nerd went ahead and made this, but then didn't have much time to update the npcs and they were dropped, but now he's planning to add them back.
The "additional weapons that he felt like adding" were actually the weapons that the NPC Knights had.
the bed is derped up, when i set up the tent and try to sleep in the bed it damages me and i'm all glitched out. Otherwise i like the mod, it's very nice if your an adventure type of person, i would give it 10/10
Something i would like to see changed: Bigger tent because this one is very small and maybe a completely closed off tent
Look back a few pages, and you would see that I'm aware of the bed. I've been told by like 100 people already.
As for bigger tents, no. The current ones are big enough.
I just had a sad moment. I had set up my adventure map with npc's and such.. then switched to my video recording copy of minecraft that has that camera mod and such in order to do a small showcase.. of corse it don't have the npc mod in it.
I do the recording,then go back to my normal jar... and am sadened that all the npc's I placed are now gone. I have to re-place them all over again.
Anyway you can make them stay? just, not show if you don 't have the mod?
If there are a lot of items on screen it will lag. That is why they despawn....
It does take a while for them to start despawning though, and it looks really ugly too, seeing all those slimeballs.
My map's in a superflat world that's why there's so many slimebals, but maybe I can use McEdit to put it into another world.

The third-person camera distance was a great idea. Also the sitting animation looks great.
