@Daimoth It takes away any reason to worry.
Before you would be an idiot to leave crops in the open because you'd lose them. It wasn't some super hard challenge to overcome, but at least it gave you some small reason to actually protect your crops.
Now I could just start up a new world and within seconds start throwing down wheat all over the ground with almost no worry.

Ah true, didn't even think of that. :tongue.gif: I just noticed it wasn't there after getting rid of all of the dirt and I had 2 pieces more than on my last map so I was a little confused.

After clearing out all of the dirt and laying out a cobble stone floor I noticed there is no bedrock piece?
Was this intentional?
Also.. I don't believe I ever dropped a piece but I only have 2 sand.

Did you get all of your dirt?
I've got 12 Sugar Cane and Wheat, 8 Pumpkins and Melons, 10 Trees, 3 Cacti, 4 red and yellow flowers, and 1 of each giant mushroom.
More than enough dirt for practical uses imo.

77 pieces of dirt (or was it 78?) is already more than enough to make a decent farm.

Don't like the Ender World? Don't go there.
Don't like Enchantments? Ignore them.
Redstone is the most complex and endless thing the game has ever seen, some people use it for making double doors, some people use it to make full blown computers inside of Minecraft, some never use it at all. Same thing, it's an option.
TL;DR version. Don't like it then don't do it, stop complaining or quit. Your choice.

This isn't exactly what we see in game though.. I'm not exactly disappointed or let down. However I do think that what we are currently being presented with could be made better.

I could be COMPLETELY wrong, but to me the fact that they have made ever current resource in game 10x more common is just a hint at what may come in the future. (New resources, if I wasn't clear enough before).
Once again that's just a complete out there guess, and slight hope.

I'm sorry, but if you take 30-40% of your playing time to get food you are doing some SEVERELY wrong. It takes me about 2 minutes of fishing for example to get enough fish to not die of hunger in a cave for AT LEAST an hour.
