No, was thinking more being able to see them through walls if i wanted to.

It already does. X-ray doesn't hide entities such as mobs, so you can clearly see them while x-raying.

I actually have one profile set up to hide all blocks, specifically so I can clearly view all the entities around me.

    he's probably dead.

    He's probably busy.

I know this is difficult for most children and retired people to understand, but many of us do actually have lives and responsibilities outside of Minecraft.

posted a message on Whats your take on the new iron nuggets?
    Quote from rodabon»

I like the addition, but do feel it needs to give more than one nugget when recycling larger things. Not just for realism purposes, but to make the system worth using.

This exactly. Requiring 9 smelting's worth of fuel to get one ingot is ridiculous. Sure, most people eventually have more fuel than they know what to do with, but by then, they probably also have more iron than they know what to do with.

Don't get me wrong, the tool/armor recycling idea is nice, but it should give back more like one full ingot per item, not 1/9th of an ingot.

They really need to give nuggets some other purpose, or they are just going to be regarded as a completely superfluous addition.

Personally, I think they are a nice feature purely for consistency's sake, but otherwise relatively useless.

They have no purpose other than getting a minuscule amount of iron back from unneeded tools and armor, and even then it's at the cost of fuel to smelt the items. Perhaps they will give them more uses sometime in the future?

And why would anyone use them for currency? They are ridiculously easy to get tons of, since you can get nine of them from one iron ingot.

did you do that on a xray protected server?

Nope, just single-player. I only use X-ray in my single-player creative worlds.

Actually I just looked up your seed on MineAtlas and it looks to me like you messed up and dug the wrong way. You should have went toward -16, 176 on the second set of coordinates unless you omitted the negative sign in your post.

If you did dig the wrong way then if I were you I would move down a couple chunks to that spot that has two chunks side by side and just use the other spot as your afk and storage collection area.

Are you sure you typed in his seed correctly? I just checked it on both MineAtlas and Amidst, and both do indeed show a slime chunk between 0,+160 and +16,+176. There is also another one diagonally to it that's between 0,+176 and -16,+192.

Ok, I have a question about something I noticed while playing last night...

I was in the nether, and was trying to view the bottom of a lava lake. I made a new X-ray profile that only turned off lava blocks, and had netherrack turned on. It worked as expected, allowing me to see what the lake floor looked like without the lava in the way. But it was super-laggy. I've got a beast of a PC, and don't typically lag anywhere, even with a 64-bit texture-pack and a far view distance. But running X-Ray with that profile lagged like crazy.

I'm not necessarily asking for a fix, since I'm assuming this is just a result of how X-Ray inherently works. But if I better understood why it lags, maybe there's something I could configure differently to accomplish the same thing without bringing my PC to its knees?

    Hi

I know Minecraft 1.11.2 was only release a couple of days ago but is there any thought as to when a compatible X-ray version will be released?

A couple days ago? It's not even been 24 hours yet!

Doesn't work, identifies ores incorrectly. Set to only identify diamond ore and it identified EVERY ore as diamond ore, coal, iron, etc shows up as diamond which makes the mod useless.

With all due respect, this mod doesn't do that. Sounds like you are trying to use X-ray on a server with an anti-xray plugin.

I thought this thread was going to be about what all can be done with emerald.

Besides trading, this is how I use emerald!

posted a message on How do I get better resolution for Minecraft
    Quote from rodabon»

HD resource packs require an HD mod because Minecraft doesn't natively support higher resolutions. Optifine has HD support built into it, otherwise you will need MCPatcher mod installed. Most packs will have clear instructions on how to install them either packaged with the download or on the download page.

Is that still true? I use a 64x64 texture pack and I have no mods installed at all, just vanilla 1.11. It works fine.

For reference, I use Ragecraft Faithful 64x64

I can't find where he said it, but A.O. mentioned at some point that the amount of money he gets from AdFly is barely enough to buy him like one cup of coffee per week.

He's basically doing this for free.
