I beat the Wither Boss solo yesterday! I spawned it in The End. I hid under the portal shooting arrows until 50% health. The Endermen are a slight distraction but the fight was VERY tough! I used 4 buckets of Milk, 6 Health Potions, 2 Golden Apples and my one and only Enchanted Apple when the Wither was down to about 20% health. It was my last resort but had to eat it to survive. After the fight, almost all of the Obsidian Towers had been destroyed! I wish I got a screenshot of the aftermath. I now have my first and possibly only Beacon.

I play on Xbox One and the villager method doesn't really work. It does not show you what the enchanted book that the villager is offering until you actually trade. So you can not just keep replacing the lectern. Only way is to make a copy of the world and reload it each time which is quite time consuming, and I am not 100% sure if Mending would ever be the first book offered by the villager. I need Mending! Fishing is not yielding anything for me either.

I am pretty much finished with this project with the exception of a couple minor details. The train came out really well. I made a cemetery by the church as well as the gallows. Probably swap out the hanging horse with an Iron Golem. Not many mobs you can lead without it looking too cruel but this came out pretty funny. The place now has life as I cured a few zombie villagers. Even a cat hangs around the back of the wagon.

I finished building my Wild West Town. I built some gallows and the result was pretty hilarious. I was hoping to hang a zombie but you can't lead them. Might replace the horse with an Iron Golem in case PETA comes after me for animal abuse. I also have a skeleton horse I could use here.

I am currently working on a Wild West Town on my new survival world. I currently only have the church, sheriff's office and saloon. I will be adding wagons, a train, a water tower and a few more buildings including a ranch to house horses. I really like the rails placed in a circle on the ground to look like a wagon wheel. Barrels are a nice touch too! I don't have much resources and not as much time to play so hopefully can get this done in the next week or two. Updates to come!

There is a tutorial from a channel called Elder Wizard on YouTube that shows you how to add shaders to Xbox One! I tried it this weekend and it worked! There is a Chocapic shader and another one I have yet to try. It definitely makes it better but it's nothing too special and should be available for us to download anyway. Sand is super bright in the day and washed out at night. Moon and Sun look great and the trees/bushes move. The water is meh and some of the shadows make a strange discoloring effect (purple). Overall very pleased though. No performance issues so far.

Chroma Hills looks interesting to me. I may give it a look. Hopefully there is a way to preview first. I'll watch some videos on YouTube. Thank you.

I found the End Portal earlier this week. Yesterday I was on a mission to get just 7 more Ender Pearls to open the portal. I swear Endermen never spawn when you're looking for them. I ended up getting 6 pearls in probably 8 or 9 Minecraft nights. Hopefully I can get the last one tonight and kill the dragon and get my Elektra Wings. I can't play survival without those!

While I was out in the desert hunting Endermen, 4 zombie villagers spawned right in front of me! This is another mob that never seems to spawn when you're looking for them. Too bad I'm not ready for curing just yet.

I wish! I so want ray tracing. A lot of the texture packs are pretty horrible too. I just bought Mithos texture pack and I am very happy with it. It keeps the feel of Minecraft but definitely improves the overall look.

Some enchantments can't be on the same item. For instance, a bow can not have Infinity AND Mending. Keeps weapons/armor from being too OP.

I just recently purchased the Lithos texture pack ($5) on Xbox One. It's no Super Duper Graphics update, but I am really loving the textures! Especially for the Ghast. Before that, the only texture pack I could tolerate was the "Natural" texture pack. I see there are a ton of options in the Marketplace now. What are the best texture packs available? Screenshots would be great if you have it.

It's a good time to start a new survival world anyway. I just started mine last week after having the same world for well over 5 years. Now I get Aquatic and Village/Pillage update. Starting over is very overwhelming though I must admit. Mined for hours and only have 10 diamonds and I will not dupe.

Sharpness is good for all around usage. I am not a fan of Knockback at all, ESPECIALLY against skeletons! I wouldn't put Fire Aspect on it either since it cooks food automatically and you won't be able to sell to villagers. Best for me is Sharpness V, Unbreaking III, Looting III, Mending I.
