I thoroughly enjoyed the older Minecraft sounds, I think it would be a plus to have an option between classic sounds and normal/new/whatever you want to call them, sounds.
I guess my title is self explanatory, but it would be made with one TNT, steel on either side, and red stone on top, or something of that nature. It would be as powerful as a TNT explosion, but it would detect an enemy and begin the timer. The proximity would be 3 blocks in every direction, and it can tell what is and is not a threat to you (not including magma), and it can tell who you are. It would probably work best if it detected an enemy in its detection space for 1.5 seconds before exploding (the enemy had to be close to it for that time) or however long it would take for the enemy to pass from one end to the other or the 3x3 space.
I'm sure this has been noticed, but if you cover yourself completely around in blocks (so it is pitch dark) you can put yourself out after a magmatic mishap (alliteration action!).
I just want to know if anyone has experienced this before..
I think you should be able to put together 3 threads into a rope (something else new which has almost positively been suggested) and combine iron in some sort of hook shape (redundancy!) and is useless otherwise.
- in a related idea, fishing hooks can be made and if you combine 3 or 4 together they make a grappling hook (rope sold separately) -
Or something more clever than that, and when you put two ropes and then a hook (vertically) together, you make it. It can be shot in any direction and goes up to 15 squares. Once one is set it can be climbed and such. If you want to remove it, you punch the hook and it goes back into it's normal form :biggrin.gif:
