    LARAMIDIACRAFT
    Realism in the Resurrection of Extinct Animals

    INTRODUCTION
    A new Prehistoric Resurrection mod on the block, LaramidiaCraft (named after the Cretaceous Continent that is now Western North America) strives for a realistic approach to the formula of resurrecting extinct organisms back from the dead and to depict our prehistoric animals in a style that both fits minecraft and reflects what we know of these animals with a bit of speculative reconstruction thrown into the mix.

    THE BEGINNING STEPS
    The Beginnings of LaramidiaCraft start with Fossils that you can find underground. they come in three types: Cenozoic, Fossils you'll find closest to the surface; Mesozoic, Fossils you'll find deeper underground, and Paleozoic, Fossils that can be found in the deepest parts of the underground. From these fossils rocks, you might find some fossils of varying degrees of condition: Pristine, Broken, and Shattered. These different preservation conditions are what determines the viability of the fossil in the resurrection process.

    WHAT TO DO WITH FOSSILS
    The fossils that you find are unidentified, and must be identified by looking at them very carefully at an analysis table, the better the fossils condition, the faster the process will go. Once you have your analyzed fossil, you can bring it over to the state of the art Life From Scratch (LFS) system. The LFS system will further analyze the fossils you give it into data that the machine can use. The different conditions of fossils also determine how much data the LFS can get out of the fossil. A full usable Genome will require at best a handful of Pristine fossils and at worst a large amount of shattered remains

    RESURRECTION
    With a Genome fully sequenced, you will then require a Biotank and a Bioprinter connected to the LFS system. Placing raw organic matter into the Biotank will give a store of Amino Acids that the Bioprinter can use to print the egg or embryo that was selected for manufacturing in the LFS system. After the new lifeform is printed, eggs can be placed in suitable environments and wait to be hatched, Mammals on the other hand must go through and Artificial Womb to develop, the Mammal embryo, once placed in the Artificial Womb, will gestate until it its ready to be born into a new world.

    THE BARE BONES RELEASE (0.0.3)
    The bare Bones Release is just a small taste of how Fossils are going to function. With a total of three blocks and one item, it's no wonder that this Pre-Alpha is called "Bare Bones"

We are also looking for Modelers and Texture designers to lighten the load off of our backs, provided you can match the style and accuracy that we strive for with LaramidiaCraft.

    Coder: Having to bite the bullet after some fruitless coder scouting, I'm putting out an SOS here. A friend and I are looking for coders that are willing to help us with a decently to possibly an expansively sized mod called "LaramidiaCraft", the details will be given to those that PM us (This does involve Dinosaurs and other Prehistoric Organisms). We are looking for people with experience in coding Mobs and/or Machines. Would love to get some PM's from people interested.


    Modeler: While both of us are already capable of modeling and texturing, we'd love to have at least one other modeler to divide up the workload even more! we are looking for modelers who will produce accurate models while still keeping to a traditional minecraft style (Images of examples will be provided to those that PM me). We look forward to hearing from you.

    Experience - I help out a few friends on their Servers sometimes, Ive been OP in 4 communities (all where ran by the same guy though). I do build quite afew things, By Expertise used to be in Wool Dinosaurs but ive started to create buildings.



    I can run a 64x Texture pack, but i tend not to as i enjoy lower res packs, But i'll run a 64x if needed.
