*soon being whenever I get the rest of the forme textures done, and come up with an idea for the plates, I am considering having the badges work as them.
Henh, thought it was a bunch of groomed Furfrou, then you mentioned the plates. Wow I'm dumb.
1.8.9 has 251 mods and 1.7.10 has close to 1230 mods ... I know its a lot but please try and keep up the 1.7.10 release as well.
That's not it. Too much code is different between versions. 1.7.10 will die soon enough, and while it isn't yet, and I'm with you; I too use 1.7.10, there's too little that can be feasibly done. 1.8.8 or 1.9(.1?) will be big enough, soon enough, so I'd just wait.
Today is the third of march. 1.8.9 was released mid-January, and 1.7.10 was around for two years, and also has tones of no-longer supported mods and repeats. 1.8.9 having 251 mods to 1.7.10's 1230 is actually quite impressive. For me, there's a handful of mods that make 1.7.10 much more worth it, but if they updated... Point is it's only a mater of time. The number might never be as high, but that can be a good thing.
Pseudo-automated quarry? More like a powertool. TiC and Draconic Evolution already add 3x3 digging and mining tools. DE actually takes it even further.
Basically turning PokéMobs into TC golems huh? I like the idea, but the way you decribe it, I think it is a little too OP.
Also: 22. When Applied Energistics for 1.8.9 releases, could you make Clefairy compatible with its meteors?
I doubt it's DE level power, but kinda like MFR, exept a bit more powerful.
So, I just made it so that any move can be used at any location, whether a target exists or not.
I also added capabilities for world effects other than the default utility moves, they will be disabled if the semihardmode is set to false.
Implemented so far is offensive ice type moves leaving behind a layer of snow, or freezing full water blocks if they hit them.
any suggestions for other effects? I probably won't do setting fires, as those can be a bit too griefy.
What about a block called the Remote Pseudo trainer. It could be scripted so Pokemon can take orders built by the trainer. The player just inputs the pokeball, and they get a toy ide (see Scratch, the program, not the move. That way advanced players can set up powerful automation of plenty of things. I'm sure this would be hard to implement, but I had the idea when you and Robijnvogel started talking about what would become an automated quarry. Here's some example pseudocode for a Tropius harvesting trees and crops.
There would only need to be a dozen or so commands, the moves doing the grunt work.
Also, Pokemon with item based moves, like theif or bestow could move items. You could set a filter in the above block, elsewise it's random. This could mean that you can sort items, and automate things like furnaces.
Maybe a Big Minecart that you make large pokemobs ride. Then you could put the above block in one and have trains of automation.
I throw the Pokéball, ball hits the wall and opens, then the Pokémon is released on either the inside or outside. Inside if you look to the south or east, outside if you look to the north or west. Not that big of a bug, more an observation. I'm sure its a vanilla thing too, but thought I'd check with you before I made the assumption it couldn't be fixed.
Hmm not supposed to be able to pass through solids, I will take a look at the collision code again, can you give me a reliable setup for testing/replicating this in 1.8.9?
Are Pokémobs supposed to phase through blocks? The only problem I have is this seems to be inconsistent to the North/West directions. That is to say they're in the confined cube, only when I look in the east or south. The screen shot included is of a LV 12 Skarmory named Skarr in the 1.7.10 RandomThings specter dimension, because that's where I saw it at first, but I got it to work with a LV 1 Bulbasaur named Bob in 1.8.9 inside a glass cage. This isn't really a bug, more an observation. There are times when this could be useful, ie: trapping your 'mons, but not really when it's that inconsistent. Wondering which one is intended so I can plan accordingly.
any not-ghost types can be ridden, assuming it is above a certain size. If you were to breed a giant caterpie for example, you would be able to ride around on it, same for the butterfree it evolves into, but normal sized caterpie is too small.
Anything that should be able to fly can probably fly, it is any flying type, with some blacklisted (doduo, gyarados, etc) and some not-flying types whitelisted (magnezone, etc). Basically if it flies by itself, it should be able to fly if you ride it.
Why not ghost types though? Because they're mostly incorporial? I actually planned on monotypeing with them at some point...
I get it, there's only two that are really rideable, Golurk and Drifblim, but I feel I should be able to fly on the hot air balloon Pokémon, and the Pokémon giant that hilariously is known to be able to fly... Also Giratina should be rideable, at least in his Origin form.
I know none of these Pokémon are currently in the mod, but I love ghost types and was working on learning how to model so they could be added, and I still will, because ghost types. While I agree with the incorpus type not being able to be touched, thus ridden, that's never been consistent. I commonly get OHKO'ed because of a physical attack and very low def (name a tanky ghost... they're all glass canons lol), which by the same logic, shouldn't hit. Really, while this is your call, and I'm all for it,this Just doesn't sit well with me...
Edit: this sounds like I'm salty or mad; I'm not, just curious. Sorry for the misconstrusive remark.
Do the healing table and PC accept pipes? While obviously unsuported, I still run 1.7.10, does it work there? Looking to be able to A) send fainted\hurt Pokémon to be healed, and B ) Send caught Pokémon to the PC, or a second/third team to my bag, so if the pipe interaction isn't implemented or planned, is there another way to do that?
If Pokecube is lagging you, I'd look into a new comp. I get more lag in vanilla than with Pokecube.
Also, 1.9 is around the corner. Just curious, but using an estimate for forge being stable in a month, how long do you think it'll be for Pokecube to update? Im invisioning something...

Yes in the config.

How do the spawner blocks work? I assume they're for custom maps, so how do I set the spawns?

Honestly? I used a glass 9x9 in a void world.

Wait, you can spawn Pokémon? What's the syntax of the command?

Can all Pokémobs be riden? Or just select ones? And do they fly?

I mean more for when I dont want that specific Pokémon in my inventory. I don't carry a full team for want of hotbar space.
