What server/s would you recommend? I would love to use this mod with my friends in a traditional modded environment with my friends, but I can't find any right now.
Hello, I'm playing in the versions:
Pokecube Core-5.0.7
Pokecube Mobs-2.4.4
Pokecube Revival-5.0.5
Thutcore-4.3.1
And I noticed 2 bugs!
1- The Pokémon do not move, they stand still, and when you go into combat with them back to normal.
2- When you mega evolves the pokémon and keeps repeating it, evolving and evolving the pokémon is getting giant.
1) is normal. The Pokemon is just waiting for orders. It's probably sitting if you shift-right click on it.
I just created a sky block world with Pokecube installed. I have had two Rayqazzas and an Entei spawn within 15 minutes of play. This would be because of there being no-where else for them to go, and this being normal, yes? Or do I have a bug that I should report?
If too many things around, they won't spawn, My suggestion is use repel blocks to make it so the only spawnable area is inside the industrial area, then kill all wild pokemobs nearby. The problem is that there is a lot of area that is not industrial to spawn in, so mostly they spawn elsewhere, not much I can do about that which won't cause extra lag from spawning checks.
Change distance repel blocks work by right clicking with berry.
Applying redstone turns off repel block.
Here is example setup (uses 8 repel blocks each set to 27 via cornn berry, can be done with only 4 if you use cornn berry for 2 and rowap berry for other 2)
red area is outside of range of any of the repel blocks, black things are repel blocks (one is behind a tree), blue circled is a voltorb that spawned there.
...Well, that's a bother. I thought you needed to surround an area with repel blocks. This explains my rapid frame drops... I thought it was odd that they were tile entities...

Meant to make this post yesterday; I'm pretty allright at making things easily readable, but not the best. Nor am I the most knowledgeable about this mod, as my consistent questions may make apparent. But if you can tell me what needs updating, and where to put it, I can phrase it (probably) if I can find the time.
As for the badges, I see they're supposed to be like the plates, but they have a 10% increase over a 1.2x multiplier. Why the 0.1x debuf? Doesnt change much, just curious.
So I just found out this exists. I've been playing Pixelmon for quite some time. How do the two compare?
As a note, I have zero complaints regarding the three things mentioned above. I don't expect all Pokemon to be in this, I haven't heard it yet but I'll probably be fine with the sounds, and I really like the Minecrafty style I've seen in the screenshots.
This one is 1000% better, and if you have a problem, Thutmose almost always solves it in an instant. Pokemobs are much more immersive than the Pixelmobs IMHO. There's much more you can do, period. The only thing I miss from Pixelmon is breeding Golurks over a TiCon smeltery for infinite iron, but that might be possible once Golurk's in the mod.
Ok, so I plan on setting up a custom map, but I have a problem. I can get specific Pokemobs in specific spots, but I haven't been able to figure out random encounters. Obviously with the way Pokecube works they'd be random spawns near tall grass rather than random spontaneous encounters like in the official games, but I don't have any idea how to define area-specific spawns. Constant command block checks tank my performance and I've got a meh computer devoted to Minecraft, so if most people are using craptops, I can suppose they will have worse frames than I do, so that's out of the picture. So aside of forcing specific custom biomes that have coordinate based spawns, do you have any suggestions?
The first thing I really like about this mod, is that the models are minecraftian. It is actually the main thing that I despise in Pixelmon, because its Pokémobs don't fit in the Minecraft world.
1. This mod doesn't have all the pokémons.
2. The pokémon models could be better.
3. The sounds can be better
AND do you really live in a box containing itself?
AND I have changed "GOOD" to "ULTRA-SUPER-GREAT" because I saw now that this mod actually was good.
But
1. Thats not on Thut, the code's there, heince "modelers needed".
2. That's not on Thut, they're impeccably minecraftian, which lowers the possible quality.
3. That's not on Thut, as far as I know, those sounds are GameFreak's own.
So those things aren't problems with the mod itself. Pixelmon had the same thing, until it's popularity allowed modelers to learn of it. They'll come in time.

I'm in 1.7.10, but I'm near a lake, and I've been farming them for redstone. Try there.

Thanks! Is there likewise a way to set trainer pokemon? And do you know if CustomNPCs can use Pokemobs?
