Ok, has anyone run into a issue where the client just blackscreens after the mojang screen? Im not getting any errors (have gotten those in the past) just a black screen that lasts until i force close my client, i have made my .jar about 8 times now and im about to start pulling out my hair.
I'm either for a mod or a plug in that allows for diamond tools to not break, i know they are out there, but the 2 bukkit pluggins i found arent working, IE yeah my tools dont get hp bars, but eventually they go poof, which is lame to say the least
if its only you, just put a RS-NOR latch with each button to turn the track sections with a detector rail that resets the latch after you go through, easiest way i can think of to do it.
make a T-flip flop that is 1x wider, so 3x instead of 2x, same 2 pistons, but its operates differently as in has 3 options instead of 2 but still cycles back and forth
I've recently returned to the game after having quit in 1.6 following the nerf to minecart boosters and, likewise, the ruination of many of my rail creations :sad.gif:
Could someone point me in the direction of some decent designs for a station and Pez dispenser offering the automation and ...simplicity of friction-based boosters of yore? Everything I envision requires an unsightly block/incline to start movement and was hoping to get some ideas.
I have a station design that will prob interest you, if you want to see it i have it on my server, just let me know will message you the IP, though its nothing compaired to the complexity of the stations when i started, where i had to have carts in constant motion all over the place just to keep the thing running...but its a still pretty cool =)
Hey guys, I need help with having a redstone lever open 8 doors, but it doesnt work when i try to work it. i also need it moderately covered so you cant really see it. Please help if you know how!
if you know how, message me!
I play on a SMP server and have a hidden piston staircase in my house. I place a lever on the floor and flick it to open the stair case. When I am done down there, I return up and remove the lever to close it.
What I am afraid of is someone removing the lever while I am down there.
Is there a way to wire redstone to the room below to do two things:
1) lock the stairs (so the lever upstairs does nothing)
2) open the stairs (so the lever upstairs does nothing)
Is this possible?
a lock is simple, just invert a section of line so it is powered or somewhere where it is powered, and feed the lever into that, so when ever you have the lock lever on the redstone in that section is stuck in a ON state which prevents the door from opening, to make it open from the inside just hook it up to a XOR gate with the outside and inside levers attached, or also you could make t flip flop with buttons instead of levers open>>close from either side and the lock would still work in the same way
Could you please post close-up of the are underneith the large outcropping? I can't really see what goes there from the pics you have
here you go, its litterly just the 3 AND gates very very slopoly thrown into a small area that i then invented ways to make them connect without cross talking lol
I actaully made it on my redstone test world, which is actaully a server i host to teach my friends **** when they get confused, if you need to see it i can whitelist you for a while
Is there any way to adapt this to have 3 dispensers (one button each) but still have only one toggle?
Well, I did it, but this is gonna be a exmample of what happens when you start something without thinking about space, if you dont understand what i did, i took all 3 dispensers and tied them into AND gates, which the latch toggles the 1 side off, and then the button toggles the dispensor to shoot out a item and i used the same feeds where it powers the dispensor to reset the latch so that it has to be toggled again before a second item will be shot out, which im pretty sure is what you wanted.
EDIT:btw repeaters wont directly power a dispensor, which is why the middle one has that wierd ass wiring (which is stupid imo)
button on the right is the toggle, button on the left actaully dispenses the item, and yes, you dont really need the double invertor on the dispense button, dont even ask what i was thinking on that part lol

This shows the whole thing, but i realized i had the lever too low, so i moved it in the second picture

here, will make this simple, remove the lever you have to turn it on and off and hook this up

the buttons needs to go where you have the lever now, and where you want the one on the inside to close it, and the lever is your lock from the inside
