posted a message on INVedit 2.0: Minecraft inventory editors
Hello, I would like to personally thank you for remaking one of the most useful tools ever made for Minecraft. Around a year ago, I've started to make custom maps (None of which were released because I've thought of new and better ideas), and the Inventory Editor allowed me to give my maps detail I would've never been able to accomplish otherwise.

Right now, I wanna use INVEdit for a modded role-playing adventuring series on YouTube, and want to use INVEdit to give the series as much detail I gave them all those months ago.

So again, thank you for remaking INVEdit. :)

Okay, give me a second... You created a fully functioning space using vanilla Minecraft, with spaceships and entire planet dimensions? I find this a bit hard to believe... That's incredible. I'm forcing myself to contain my excitement because I'd spam it to the world! This concept is amazing!

World of Warcraft and Minecraft are 2 extremely different games, almost polar opposites. Making Minecraft into WoW would be a complete Rewrite of Minecraft, which would take months to get even a barely working version of it. However, there are a lot of mods out there to use to give you a great RPG experience. You could try Hexxit or Hack/Mine, both of which can be found in the Technic Launcher.

I've realized something really important. Once we're done with the regular biome houses, we should start working on mansions.

nether villages, UNDERWATER villages but maybe like villagers trade better items, and the ones in the underwater villages breath underwater (like squids) maybe new villager textures depending on their biome and disco villages!(made of colurfull clay and the villagers have colorfull clothes :) also the church could be replaced by a disco room with a colorful wool floor :D

And...Floating vilages like with white paths to look like clouds :P

Tropicreeper, I think your ideas are pretty cool, but we want to start simple. Maybe later on in to development, we can do these things. Nether Villages and (I think) Underwater Villages would be impossible, because the house needs to have direct connection to sunlight. As for Floating Villages, they could be done, but the case would be much like that of the Jungle Villages, where we'd have to build the entire village into 1 structure, and our variations idea will make that really difficult & time consuming. The Disco Village idea made me laugh a bit, perhaps they could be a super rare village type?

Yeah, I saw the villages when I messed around with the schematics a bit (I accidentally played on 1.6.4, so I couldn't put in any improvements because I couldn't see what the buildings actually looked like). 1 thing I'd like to say, I think we should stay away from using blocks that are valuable (Like Nether Brick Blocks in the Swamp Fountain. I also saw the graveyards and pyramids and such, and I have a question about them. Are those are going to be a part of the village spawns or will they spawn independently. Finally, I will changed the thread's name to the Towns Mod, as you requested.

Sorry for my recent inactivity, I've been busy with unrelated tasks.

Furniture! If you noticed in the map, there is already some trials in the houses.

If you do know how to make schematics of houses, send some with pictures.

For compatibility, as long as we are not creating any blocks, it should be more or less fine. Other Mods' biomes can be included in the town's creations.

Is it possible that we could include loot in the builds? I've started working on what a village per biome (And their variations, I.E. Plains and Sunflower Plains). Most of the buildings will have small variations that they can have (Patches of Mossy Cobblestone, Backyard, etc.). In addition, I think it'd be nice to have Windmills for grinding up wheat and stuff, or have different farms for different villages (Like Deserts farm Sugarcane). Also, what do you think of a Marketplace?

Yeah, the old tree thing sounds cool, but it would be a bit out of place in the world, especially since every 1 of them seems to have a house in them. We should stay away from that unless we plan on adding trees like that without the house in them. Also, I think it'd be nice if we could furnish the houses as well, and not have them be completely empty like normal villages are. In fact, we COULD have a vote for that. It's up to you.

i like this idea. i wish every town made could turly be on its own lvl. what i mean by this is there be somany type of towns that could spawn even carved into the sides of mountains with better layouts then in the base game (this is fora ll towns) and there could be more the one type of forge any building really. also able to work with other mods like the ones the the DNS or FTB

About the Feed the Beast idea. That'd have to wait until we are far into development with this mod + if B77 can in fact do it. It may very well be months before we give compatibility with other mods.

Hi there, in fact what I posted is a map of the present town constructions, I am currently looking at the code for the vanilla villages and my brain often farts, but I'm getting through it.

Thunderlord, I wish I could carve the houses from the mountain sides as it would be awesome looking, but I guess this will be for a later version.

I agree with B77. I think having huge villages carved out of mountains is a bit much. On top of that, it wouldn't work properly because of how proper village houses are made. However, perhaps we could have like rich villages, poor villages or mediocre villages? I think that'd be a nice add on to make villages more interesting to look explore.

Hi there!

Here is my world save for the <Towns> mod I'm making https://www.sugarsyn...65712186_346960

On the left side is constructions that will change by biomes,
On the right side is housings and wells per towns, each village can have two ways to change its blocks (plain-mountaineous, swamp-taiga, desert, savannah-beach(?), snow-mesa). I will add towns following your ideas.

I would love to collaborate with you and see 1 of my ideas actually become reality! I'm gonna look at the mod tomorrow morning.

When I talk about more villages, I don't mean the villages that look exactly the same except for a different material. I mean DIFFERENT villages. If villages could be made to spawn in most biomes, that would be amazing. Here are my ideas:

Jungle Village - All of the houses are on trees (Just make the tree a part of the structure, and you'll be fine). Have huts that are connected by tight rope bridges in place of gravel paths (That part might be difficult, but you COULD have entire villages come in different variants instead of separate houses).

Tundra Villages - Buildings that are made (mainly) out of snow. Houses and Shops will be made of snow and have a fire pit in the middle. The Smith is also an igloo, but has a forge just outside. Farms should be replaced with a small field with 2 cows in it.

Taiga Villages - Somewhat like Plains villagers, but the houses are smaller, and made of Pine Wood. The Church and Smith should be relatively unchanged (Any Oak Wood Walls should be changed to Pine).

Mushroom Villages - Houses are made of Giant Mushroom Blocks. Farms should grow mushrooms. The Smith should be the same as the house, but with a forge just outside. Churches shouldn't be present.

Forest Villages - Houses are like Plains Villages, but the houses are much larger. The Church has the same style, but larger. Forges are bigger.

Extreme Hills Villages - Houses are caves with minimal wood, but aren't primitive (The walls can be cobblestone). The church doesn't have to be available in this in this type.

Desert Villages - Instead of having the same style as Plains Villages, make them square (Much like villages made in Africa before Europe started trading with/conquering them. Roofs are flat, and the church is a sandstone tower.

Let me hear your ideas or if you'd like to make this idea a reality. Also, tell if I missed any biomes and I'll make sure to add them, If you'd like me to post pictures of what the houses would be like, or even if you'd like a cookie and think I will give you 1 (THEY'RE MINE!)

NOTE: I have found a modder that'll be developing the mod. For all of you that are following, make sure to check back often to see if we've released the mod yet. When we do, this thread will be remade into a thread where you can post the ideas you want in the mod (We will check it every so often). Here is the Team so Far:

Dezitron: Founder of the Mod, Rough-Draft Builder
B77: Co-Founder of the Mod, Main & (Currently) Only Scripter

NOTE: We are currently developing the mod. The mod will in fact include villages per biome (With a few obvious exceptions), and possibly some new structures. Buildings will also have small random aspects to them (I.E. Some cobblestone buildings will have more Mossy Cobblestone than other variations).

Someone made a 21 x 12 door, that's pretty big. However, it's still only a little bit more than HALF the area of the 20 x 20 design thing.
