I believe there is a command to clear a players inventory. You could put it in a command block.

Thank you for the reply. I can agree with you on much of what you said. It truly irks me that the community is so into "OP factions" "OP Prison". I miss finding unique servers with a sense of progression. Servers that didn't have 1,000 players on at once and were a

Makes me wish I could go back in time.

Those servers would not exist if they were not popular, just don't play on them, and use and older version. Oh wait then you cant you all the new features. Get over your nostalgia.

People need to understand the use of fishing rods.

No fishing rod = no fish.

    Fishing rod

    = fish.

and if they were useless we wouldnt have them.

Thank you for that extremly obvious answer, the op was asking for the use in pvp.

I personally am not skilled enough to use a rod, but a have plenty of friends that use them to great effectiveness. Whether it makes a great deal of difference i have no idea. Really it is a matter of opinion.

How would destroying something make someone jealous of it? How does stealing mean they are lazy?

No they are jealous of it and destroy it so that they are no longer jealous, and on the side they no longer have to collect resources.

    Quote from Acejhm»

I do see your point. Minecraft is designed as a sandbox game not to be something like "You Will Die", "This War of Mine", "Project Zomboid", or other survival games. However, the problem is that when Mojang added a difficulty setting they didn't really make it so it mattered a whole lot. In hardcore, the only difference is that you lose your save file. There isn't an added challenge to make it truly "hardcore". I've survived for extremely long periods of time without dying in hard, and the experience would have been exactly the same is it were in hardcore. I, and most of the people here who think Minecraft is to easy, are not saying we want Minecraft's entire genre changed, we just want a difficulty that poses more of a challenge.

This is also a good point. However, again, there are a large number of people who play only on peaceful mode, or creative mode, or in my case hard mode with a crap ton of mods to make into super-ultra-death mode. Before, in alpha, or even early beta, I could understand there being a debate on what should be done about the difficulty. However, now we have several difficulty settings, and game-modes, with code in place to easily add more. You can keep, easy mode, normal mode, and hard mode. Heck, keep hardcore the same way if you want. I just want a difficulty that I can select that will make Minecraft more of a survival game than a sandbox game; an "Apocalypse" difficulty or something. It has the potential to do that. Hundreds of people have made mods, modpacks, and maps that do just that.

I see you point about that but i think the game will never become that. I think mods will be the really the way to go if you want to go all out. Or playing CTM every once in a while. While i would like the see the game get harder, minecraft is not that type of game.

Thanks for the polite response, instead of the usual "HA your opinion is wrong because it is different than mine"

    There.

I see way too many people say "well build something" or "give yourself a challenge". That doesn't make the game harder. That gives you an objective that doesn't have a real reward when you're done. When you play survival, you're playing to survive. That's the objective of that mode. When you crank up the difficulty, it doesn't feel like anything has changed. Depending on what setting you're on, easy or hardcore. There needs to be more dramatic changes to the gameplay. Like mob health, respawn rate, and damage for a small example.

Since when has minecraft been a super hard apocalypse last person alive type game? The answer none. Because minecraft is a sandbox game. That means their are endless possibilities that you can have playing the game. The goal of the game is to be creative and build and gather resourceful. The mobs and hunger are annoyances that do not make survival creative mode. I agree that mobs are easy, but the point of minecraft is not the mobs, but the builds.

While it's very unlikely that he found 6 ore veins each time and has a Fortune 3 pickaxe, it's still very unlikely that he's found 26 Diamond Ore in just one branch mining trip, even without exploring any caves.

Seems pretty unreliable if you ask me.

First off any one who is simi-good at minecraft tries to get a fortune 3 pick as soon as possible. He probably has one. Secondly a single branch does not have to go only 30 blocks they can stretch for hundreds, also with my previous post i told you that he did not have to find diamond ore every branch. Thirdly I find more diamonds branch mining rather than searching in caves.

Also in the original post by Chameleonred5 never mentions the time of the mining trip, so we can only speculate about the time he spent mining.

He is also a lapis lazuli collector which means he has a lot of posts and has spent a ton of time on the minecraft forums. So he is probably a pretty experienced player.

So you got 54 Diamonds out of one branch mining trip?

That doesn't sound that reliable if you ask me.

Well if fortune 3 about doubles diamonds, then he would have gotten about 26 diamond ore. And assuming that there are 4 in a vein on average. Then that is about 6 ore veins and with seven branches mined that is less than one vein per branch. I think that is very reasonable.
