    Ha, I wish that was the case, but as far as I'm aware, it's way more complicated than that.

    It really depends on your definition. Some have different mining and loading techniques, so I cannot give a simple "yes" or "no". The best solution is to test this mod and decide for yourself whether or not this is what you're looking for.


    Also, I'm hoping to release a patch fixing the unbreakable trains and zepplins as well as the invisi-track-builder, but the earliest will be tomorrow.

    I can definitely confirm that the planes and vehicles mod are compatible (at least as of 1.7.3). Haven't tested WWII guns, but I see no reason why it shouldn't be incompatible.

    Server derped for no reason, but it's fixed now. Thanks for bringing that issue up.

    Also, I'm looking for the reason why the trains and zepplins don't break. I can't find anything, but at least minecarts break fine.

    Trains 1.22 (unofficial) released!

    What's new?
    • Update to 1.8, obviously
    • Changed electric motor's recipe to a different one. In the future, you may want to modify RedPower's configuration which, according to the forum post, includes a way to modify the red alloy's recipe
    • Several items are excluded from being viewed by mods such as TMI (those being the red signal and the active distillation tower)
    • Signals got a proper item picture. It (should) no longer display a picture that extends above its item slot

    Current caveats:
    • Old bugs are still intact D:
    • No mulitplayer support
    • You cannot break trains (at least in creative, haven't tested in survival)
    Attention 1.7.3 players:



    If you have not modified TrainConfig.txt, the following items will be changed!
    Oil sands       =>	huge mushroom
    Petroleum	=>	huge mushroom
    Distillator     =>	iron bars
                    =>	glass pane
    Diesel		=>	pumpkin stem
    Diesel engine	=>	fence gate
    Piston		=>	stairs
    Camshaft        =>	stairs
    This is due to the fact that the new blocks added in Minecraft have the IDs as the above items. Should you not want the above changes, I recommend you to, using a patched version of 1.7.3, remove the above blocks from your world.


    Other than that, please report any other bugs, and enjoy! Hopefully in a week an improved version will be released (I admit, this one is kind of rushed).

    Right, that would take longer than expected. Right now I have 30 errors to fix. That seems a lot, but it's nothing compared to the initial 78. Anyhow, I'm afraid that the earliest this mod will be released is tomorrow.

    As long as the two recipes do not conflict with each other, it will be futile to make some other item. Remember, while IC users may have some difficulties, there are players who use this mod but not IC.

    Simultaneously, it should not take too long to integrate with IC since it's as simple as checking whether IC is loaded or not. Hopefully that will be integrated in the next week or so.

    It is possible that the textures for the dust coal are simply coincidental, but it is possible that they are stolen. I do not know what is true and what is not, but let's not judge that. However, we do think about integrating IndustrialCraft's features and blocks to be used in this mod, although first it must be prepared for MC Forge.

    As for the trains bugging and ending up sideways... well, that's easier said than fixed, I'm afraid. Eventually we will sort that out.

    Rather than having the player just supply iron and coal, the player should supply what he needs to in order to make his project, e.g.:
    • If he needs just a 3X3 hole, coal is enough
    • If he needs a hole with tracks, additionally supply rail
    • If he needs a wooden platform under the tracks, additionally supply wood (1-3)
    • If he needs light in the cave, additionally supply glowstone (4 ore or blocks)
    • If he needs glass around the cave, additionally supply glass (x12)
    I'll come up with a GUI so it makes more sense.

    So I was mistaken before. Until MCP is updated to 1.8, there will be no releases. In the meantime, this is what the newest version, 1.22, will include:
    • Update to 1.8, obviously

    Please note:
    Since ModLoader has been updated to 1.8, an unofficial release will be published ASAP. However, since ModLoaderMP is not updated, either of the following approaches must be taken:
    1. Release the client version only and release the server version one ModLoaderMP is updated
    2. Release both the client and server versions at a later date
    I'm looking forward to going with method 1; however, if anyone has an issue with this, please leave your concern in this forum.

    Furthermore, as mentioned a few posts ago, I will be fixing the recipe for the motor to a different one, temporarily or otherwise.

    Now I bet if you talked to that guy, you could make it compatible with your mod, and you might even learn a thing or two.
    Here's the deal for why there are troubles coding connections:

    You probably know that vehicles such as locomotives consist of two parts: the part where you sit in, and the rest, which is transparent. Unfortunately, nowhere in the code does it say how much transparent space there actually is before/after the place where you sit, thus you have a 1/4 in chance of properly connecting two carts together without them overlapping each other. This obviously does not happen with minecarts because they are 100% solid and occupy only a 1X1 block, as opposed to a 3X3 / 4X3 for locomotives and other carts.

    Furthermore, when you say that "a cart is not moving", you can't actually tell whether it's pointing to the one direction or another (e.g. north or south, east and west). This does not matter with minecarts because they are the same from both directions.

    Ergo, if the locomotives and other carts were completely opaque (possible, yet a bad idea) and symmetrical from both the front and the back (artistically and factually improbable), only then would that Bukkit plugin's idea would apply to this situation. But it doesn't.
