With the mouth, don't use black. NEVER use black for lips. I prefer a darker version of the skin tone, or if you want the skin to look like it has lipstick you can darken the skin tone then change it to be closer to whatever color you want.
It looks pretty good, but the main things you need are shading and texture. It's rather flat looking because the colors don't vary. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/15409-tutorial-adding-shadows-and-texture-to-your-skin/#p308103 is a great tutorial on how to do quick, easy, good shading and if you take the white wool texture and use the same method as that tutorial to add a cloth-y texture to your clothes. I suggest about 45% transparency with the AO map and 5-20% transparency with the cloth texture.
I was looking around at the wiki and saw that baby sheep have a 50/50 chance of having the color of either parent. So I did a little experiment with two sheep I dyed green.
As you can see, offspring of two dyed parents remain dyed.

There's a few things you might want to add, such as putting the color you used for the hairband thing on the back part of the top body, since even when someone tilts their head all the way up you won't be able to see that unless they tilt it down making it have a bit of a better transition.

I've been wanting to see what some of my players are doing without them knowing but I can't find a mod that allows admins to turn invisible, anyone know of one?
