    Yes, the server is still online! And you're on the whitelist, so you can still jump on. We had a hiccup some time back, and everyone seemed to just drop off the server. Some of the regulars still hop on every now and then, but no one else is on when they do... so they leave. 5 minutes later, someone else gets on... it's a shame really.

    I've passed on responsibilities to my good friend, who gets on now and again to make sure no one has been griefing, or to just chill. I check for updates to the server and various plugins daily, and make sure things are running smoothly. Erebus will be around to stay- it just isn't as active as it was some time ago. I'd love to see it get back to those fun times, but it comes down to people being active on the server.

    The reason I haven't been able to be so active, and plan the events and such... I run a business, and things have gotten a bit busy as of late. On top of that, I started my own game development project... most of my free time is slotted for that. I'm trying to work in a day or so a week for Erebus, but every time I hop on, no one else is around!

    By the way, those are some awesome builds. Get back in there and spice up the world a bit! You'll notice the new central town of Gortho is just a tower with paths leading out. There is a bit of terraforming that needs to be done (random floating 3 block noise bits for example).

    After poking through MineVideo a bit... I have to ask out of curiosity: are you gonna clean MineVideo up? I see you are planning on removing Xuggle. There are a ton of "left-overs" from third-party libraries used still left in the release... stuff that doesn't need to be in there of course. I'm a neat freak with those things, and always get curious when a "mature" project has all these bits and bobs left in a release. Sorry if I'm sounding like a ****, but the lazy-factor always worries me about other aspects of a given project.

    I wandered through several pages here... and I didn't see a single person mention an issue with Minema + Camera Studio. Say I set several points with CS. Go to camera path 1. Start recording with Minema. Start camera path (a short one) with a time of 1 minute. Hide interface with F1. Minema and Camera Studio chug along. Then BAM! The evil Camera Studio clipping issue kicks in, and CS pops the position back and forth between the next and previous points, endlessly.

    I don't have a weak system, by any means. Core i7, 16GB of RAM, blah blah blah. I run a computer repair shop, and have a degree in computer science and electronics engineering. I program in C++, Java, and several other programming and scripting languages. I can take a girl's bra off with 2 fingers. So unless I'm missing something, there seems to be an issue here. I think it's because Camera Studio runs at a different tick rate than Minema perhaps?

    Any chance of having advanced settings for video encoding? I'd think it would be... a necessary "feature" if this was to be the end-all-be-all of Minecraft video tools. I always strive to meet Youtube's "do's and don'ts" list, as well as adhere to their suggested resolutions and bitrates, etc. I was using Minema, mainly because you can add command line options to the x264 encoder in the mod's config. Sadly, it conflicts with Camera Studio and is rendered useless (the camera path time goes crazy with the Minema tick rate change).

    Still looking for a moderator, another builder, and a terraformer!

    The head architect we have answers to me, but we are both busy with many other tasks. So an assistant to help push things along and clean things up would be awesome. The requirements for the terraformer are the ability to not only clear out terrain, but make it look natural... as well as fit with existing and in-progress structures.

    The moderator position has been tough to fill. I've interviewed a few people who seemed quite mature and capable in the first couple stages, but once it got to the final in-game stages, turned out to be goof-balls who weren't respective of what a moderator is and isn't. So please, only apply for this position if you are truly experienced. I don't need immature moderators who simply want OP status. I have permissions set up for a good clean moderator group, that enables what an efficient moderator should be able to do- teleport, kick, check the server status, etc. Moderators don't need OP status, and as many other experienced server owners/admins have explained... people who merely want OP status are just confused.

    And remember- I'm looking for mature and adult members now. I have plenty of 9-17 year olds on the server.

    @RedKrypton - you can specify biomes. There are rivers and ocean biomes that can be painted. Brushes.

    @connor119 - thanks buddy, but I stated 2 posts above yours, 2 things that you failed to understand. Which pretty much rules you out: I wanted the info posted to Pastebin. PM the Pastebin link. I am not looking for anyone under 18.

    This tactic of making a simple task to follow, is really ruling out the peeps who can't follow directions. Moral of the story? I don't need people who can't follow simple instructions, or apply themselves to standard.

    @Saadiya - My mistake, I agree more documentation would be handy. As far as the features I requested, those actually aren't possible. Using a mask for biome generation, isn't there. You have to manually paint them. The world shape conversion isn't possible; you have to start out with that shape. If you import a heightmap, the world is made square, and there is no way to convert it circular. I hope I'm a dork and missed that feature though. The beach maker request, IS somewhat possible, but again- all manual. And an erosion filter doesn't exist. You could make your own brushes that would help here, but again you would have to manually paint (erase?) the erosion in.

    @Saadiya - Everything you said is possible in WP. And easy to do. Just spend more time with it, and you will see how easy it is to do that stuff. If I didn't have such a minimal amount of free time, I would write several in-depth tutorials. I've used (literally) dozens and dozens of terrain generation and world editing tools in my time with game development, art, and just plain curiosity. WorldPainter is pretty standard in it's operation, with a dash of Minecraft specific stuff.

    Eh, quick note on how to start a world full of ocean:
    1. Start a new world, go with whatever size/shape you want.
    2. On the new world screen, you have "typography". This is an important section.
    3. Set it to Flat or Hilly, but if you set it to hilly, note the "Hill height".
    4. Next you have "Height" and "Water level". You want "Height" to be lower than "Water level".
    5. If you selected "Hilly" for the topography, you need to factor in the "Hill height".
    6. The default "Water level" for the ocean in Minecraft is 62. So for a flat land, you would set your "Height" lower than this. 52 would be good.
    7. The default "Hill height" is 20, so with the default "Water level" of 62, you would want to go with a "Height" of 40 or 32 perhaps.
    8. This will yield an ocean world. I also suggest setting the "Surface material" to sand in the new world screen.
    Captain- any chance of getting a response to my feature requests that got buried under these other posts?

    Been using this for a little bit now, and I must say it rocks. Very good job Captain_Chaos! I have a few feature requests though:
    1. Masking - The ability to use a mask to define biomes would be awesome. Perhaps several different colors representing the different biomes?
    2. Square world -> Circular world conversion/trimming
    3. Beach maker - Smooth out the terrain around water level, to make smooth beaches
    4. Erosion pass - A filter that could be run to erode the terrain
    I've been tinkering with the workflow, going from several terrain generation programs to WP. Perhaps I'll do a write-up on that sometime... anyhow, keep up the great work. This is a must-have tool for any serious server/terra-former.

    Hey DezoLord, I replied. Thanks for the heads up... seems the messaging center on here is finicky. I've actually been noticing several little "bugs" with the Minecraft forums. The browsers built in spell check, for example (in Firefox at least) gets blocked.

    Anyhow, I have 1 good architect/builder now. A possible assitant admin/moderator. I could use another great builder, who has a good amount of experience with redstone. So jakeman4489 and HatingEmperor- I appreciate your interest, but I'm affraid I need some 18+ staff at this point. Nothing against the "yungins", or that I doubt your abilities. Just how it is. I'll update my OP to reflect this new requirement.

    Also of note- I asked applicants to post their applications on Pastebin. This was a test to see if they could follow simple instructions, and utilize a basic web-based tool effectively. So far, only 2 people have succeeded to do this!
