Music would be very irritating. Although, I think the guide is a bit outdated; the wiki would often we the most common source of information too.

Also, this is not a discourse.

posted a message on Should we have Minecraft 2 in the Launcher?
It only really added coal blocks: added, stained glass: added, fake horses: added with real horses, pink withers: silly idea, chickens: silly idea.

Everything else was just a joke and never actually coded.

Nevertheless, I still think it was a great version. I believe you can find the files floating around somewhere still.

So I suppose we also need to give apples the name of Malus domestica, carrots Daucus carota sativa, etc.

No, we do not. Although, in extended tooltips maybe.

Please no. A quicker draw back speed enchantment might be nice, but the entire idea of a machine gun bow is silly.

Besides; the bow is already automatically nocked when you pull back.

posted a message on Mob drops should make more sense
Wishlist. Please do not post multiple vaguely related suggestions in a single thread.

Whilst most of the thread deals with mob drops which is fine, the last two segments deals with land drops and the addition of both a Wild Wheat plant as well as Berry Bushes.

I would suggest you break them up into two threads. Also, I do support the wild wheat idea. I personally would prefer if there was another step in it but it is fine.

The main problem with food supply is that is is far too simple. As Badprenup said, if you can some livestock, you essentially have food forever. The simplest way to deal with this is to give animals different stages they reach, make breeding MUCH harder and slow the growth down.

A simple Baby, Middle Aged, Mature growth fashion might be nice with every stage giving more meat. Another way is you give actual purpose to the foods they provide.

Take the chicken. People keep chicken in real life for:

    A. Meat. Chicken is delicious
    B. Eggs. Eggs are a staple ingredient for many things.
    C. Feathers. Used for stuffing things, arrows etc.

Currently we have A B and C however both B and C are developed very minimally. We ought to reduce the reliance of meats and make egg, plant, baking etc. products a larger part of the diet.

Milk too; noone keeps cows for milking since it is ridiculously easy to get it. If the cows actually struggled; indeed, every animal should show fear; it would make it harder. Maybe if the cow does not move more than a block away from you or more than 2 metres. Milking should take time too.

A way to get Steve to have a more balanced diet would probably to make it less filling hunger bar up and more eating to satisfy hunger. Breaking foods down into different types; fruits, meat, dairy, breads etc. and having invisible bars for each. You would have to balance them; if you eat too much meat and go over 10 meat points, everything else goes down.

And if they were not balanced, your health would go down pretty quickly. There would only be limits for meat, dairy and breads though, since some people are vegetarians and would object to eating meat.

Essentially; if you eat too much meat, you will lose health. The hunger bar shown would be the average of all the bars combined. If you keep it in the midway mark, you are eating well. If it drops, you will lose health too. If it goes too high, you will lose health as well.

To make early game starts easier though; berry bushes and more scavengeable foods must be added. Beehives, fruit trees etc. The game has an overly carnivorous bias; we need it to be more balanced and that means more foods of other sources.

Please. The entire food network needs changing. Steve requires a more balanced diet.

    I explain some ideas here:

    Wrong.

A 16px pack will not reduce lag. People have already pointed this out to you on PMC whose standards seem to be rising. 16px packs will run at nigh the same FPS as default, if not slower due to external texture loading.

Also, seeing as this pack is essentially default with some minor edits, I cannot see how it will foster attention as boredom is generally not due to textures, not that this texture pack has anything different bar a few minor changes to bricks and other blocks.

Nobody cares about your choice of television show or which character you connect with. Your texture pack, which I can assure you I do not '< 3' is

A: Bucketfilled. It is essentially just a solid colour. No shading or designs.
B: Not finished. I would expect that a bucketfill pack have at least common blocks done. Not a random selection of blocks.
C: Lacking a coherent theme. Which is envitable for nigh all bucketfilled packs since they lack design and detail.
D: Terrible. Please, go and find some texturing tutorials on the Internet. There are plenty, both pixel art tutorials and specific Minecraft ones.

Although... I hope there would be a detection method for it; redstone and stuff would need it so it makes sense to be able to detect the blocks nearby.

Exactly. Although, a problem would be that the blocks would still z-fight if placed on top of a different block... unless the effect was removed then.
