posted a message on Mojang, Yogscast In Dispute
I have been watching this thread for a while and this is the best answer i can find

    Quote from BlueTaffi

The thing is, a lot of posts have been going on about Notch either "lying" or not.
Realize that there isn't just a lie and a truth in life. There are exaggerations, misunderstandings, understatements, etc.

It's obvious Notch isn't creating a lie. Most likely he either:
    a)Misunderstood the Yogscast
    or
b)Received this information from a secondary source who probably exaggerated it.

To be honest, at this point, sides shouldn't be taken.
First of all, an entire side of the story hasn't been given out.
Second, the details, period, of the dispute hasn't come out yet.

Lets wait until the ogscast puts out a statment.

maybe it wasn't simon and lewis? maybe someone from their team?

When I was at MineCon I realized that Simon and lewis may not have any idea what is going on with their other crew. I was one of the 20 people patiently standing inline to get near the front for the signing when a yogscast facilitator came up to us. He commented "Don't stand in line early or you wont get anything signed" and broke up the entire line only to form a chaotic mob. Later he said that we could not approach where Simon and Lewis where going to be signing. Finlay when they arrived, he gave out only 100 "tickets" to people and would kick anyone out of the line who did not have one these. I don't know what happened after that, but it's my belief that if someone pays 100$ to go to Minecon he/she should be able to get something signed. This post will probably be buried in comments anyway, just getting the word out to more people of what we where complaining about while in a line.

posted a message on Egg Nog
I agree completely, minecraft needs more seasonal additions. Updates that make certain items only available at a specific time of year and then immediately make them un-available in a patch, so that everyone will rush on to try to gather it/them. I think the nether should only be around near Halloween. And just as you said, who wouldn't want egg nog??

    posted a message on Marble!
Nice idea! My opinion in implementation would be too have it be crafted by :stone: + :obsidian:(black streaked marble) , :log: (Brown grained marble), :gravel: (Speckled grey marble), or netherack (red swirled marble) in the :Furnace: or naturally formed in caves. This would have to be implemented like the wool where they all share the same block ID though different textures. Another problem is that it would be hard to make it look that nice with only 16X16 px. Although as a texture pack maker, I know that it is possible and that it would be a lot of fun to try to texture. (I would be willing to attempt to make textures for them as an example of how they would look in game if you want). Anyway, these are just my thoughts. Brilliant suggestion and I hop it gets added. :Diamond:

spiders shouldn't be able to spawn if they try to do it on the slabs. I think this still applies for 1.9

Silver fish, there horribly implemented, make no since, they where implemented even before actual fish, and bugs don't belong in minecraft. (How does a bug have as much health as you???)

posted a message on Do you guys think any ores should have they're mining time shortened?
Yes, Redstone for sure. Notch accidentally added a decimal to the end of the toughness of it, then he decided he liked it and kept it the same. So it's actually a glitch.

You could use F3 to look after mobs underground.
There could be an isolated cavern containing a group of slimes, there's a maximum capacity on how many mobs can exist, so maybe some slimes are taking up the places left. Slimes don't always despawn you know.

F3 no longer displays the mob numbers since 1.8
But yea, that could be it, there just all isolated underground. If that the case then they should de-spawn after some time. even slimes do eventually.
I think it's a 1.9 glitch, it is a pre-release after all. the whole objective of releasing it early is to let players find glitches to fix.

posted a message on Pumpkin pie/pumpkin mash
I am going to say what I said on the other pumpkin pie threads.
it is said that the pumpkins are going to be farmable as of 1.8, and what would be the use of farming a block that is only for decoration. Generally speaking the items that don't have a purpose and rare, Therefore making them valuable in there own way: Bragging or SMP currency for example. Also decorating your house with common farmable blocks will not make it look better, because you want your build to be unique. Like mossy cobble and book cases. So if notch implements pumpkin farming then there would be even less of a point than there was before unless he implemented an Idea such as this along with it. So I support, however if they are farmable than to balence it out the pies would have to be expensive/ costly to make and heal lots or be cheap and not hel as much (obviously). So, I am fond of this idea.

Although it should be crafted like this in my opinion,

    :feather: :: :feather:
    :Orange: :Orange: :Orange:
    :////: :////: :////:

    :feather: = sugar
    :: = milk
    :Orange: = pumpkin mash

How do you know notch wont make more uses for pumpkins?

he probably will, it is the suggestion forums that give notch ideas on what things to add.

    Quote from TheEvilM

I think this would be ideal if pumpkins were not farmable. However, if the are, they should give 1.5 or two hearts per slice. And by the way, I have never seen a pumpkin pie or pumpkin mash suggestion.

Here is one asking if it has been suggested but evry one replied to it as if it where a suggestion: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/516693-has-pumpkin-pie-ever-been-suggested-i-think-its-a-fairly-obvious-food-to-add-next/page__gopid__6811717#entry6811717

I should have said that it appears to have a very slight oriental influence. I just leaped to that conclusion looking at the reed texture and scrolls (I have also been working on a oriental texture pack for almost 16 hours straight now I'm sure that contributed to it XD). Going back now and revisiting the pictures... yeah, it is mostly aztec culture being depicted. anyway, still awsome and I will definitely download.

I like it a lot! the bamboo, lava and wolf textures fit in with the oriental style Very well! I would consider changing the glowstone texture to be more natural. Just a suggestion. Very nice work and please keep it up. I will look forward to more! :smile.gif:

I want an npc village near my old world....but they wont generate, I have to start over now D:

I am not sure if that is true. most new features you just have to generate new terrain to be able to spawn the new block/structure. I do not know if that is true for NPC villages or not though.

For leveling... I am kind of shying away from the idea right now, mainly because if been around the same old scenes the beginning of alpha, but also because I have seen so many terrible leveling games like W.O.W.(in my opinion) Also, I do not believe that there has ever been a leveling sandbox game. Depending on how it is implemented, I believe that it will ether fail hard or win big.
