Well, that is quite sad and unfortunate but really, If I had a problem like that (WHICH I do on my LAPTOP...) I still would not mind pressing 3 buttons to change it.

Its just being lazy is it not.?

Allow me to remind you that most players play on MP, and on MP, while you do the 3 button press to change it, the game doesn't pause, you could get killed by mobs. If you don't do it? The FPS is so low you might get killed due to it.

I can do it with a mushroom and sand, and if you want reset, a flower.(though the flower and mushroom and sand and redstone wire needs to be replaced every time it goes off)

I made a tree farm once

I've made 3, all had 65 spots for trees.
Also, my cobblefarm design(I actually have a few more, I have a stairway one that can fit as many players as you can make it high times two +1, another one which is a variation of the one in the pic with 3 cobblestone generation locations, all of them having water below the cobblestones to make sure they are safe{some do fall into the lava by chance}): http://i.imgur.com/Ex86p.png

to Zirums and all same plane cannon makers,
i have figured a way to get less arc than a same plane cannon and it is actualy quite simple and doesnt even need a same plane cannon to use
place a block above thee tnt to be launched and watch as it actualy fires down!
same plane cannons give about 10% arc and normal cannons about 30%, a cannon with a block like so:
    [] [] [] [] [] [] :tnt:
    [] [] [] [] [] [] :stone:
:stone: :Water: :Water: :Water: :Water: :stone:
    will give about 45% arc

using my tequniche we could reduce arc completely and make mining cannons or aerial assault cannons!

from Dr Higgle Tiggle, proud cannoneer

Mining cannons? cannons won't be efficient for mining, carefully placing tnt so there's stone all around it is much more efficient use of creepers. even more efficient is to spawn creepers next to a dummy player which has 29523810967289672 HP, thus exploding without the need to kill them, but that's just cheating.

i didn't mean mine for ores but i tend to use tnt to make large deep raters to trap obs in and connect them all with tunnels so i can collect loot

    mining= diggin a hole

Still, using a cannon for digging a hole is inefficient use of TNT if you have safe access to the place where you want to dig the hole. Just put the TNT deep enough so none of it's power is wasted on air and it's efficient.

Just thought I'd share what i've been working on after not playing Minecraft for a few months, just thought I'd get back to working on my crappy repeatercanon.

Still working on it, currently adding inverters to reducing the firing of a shot to 1 button, next goal is to somehow make the first shot set off the second etc. just like in a simply machinegun. (tried it with minecrats and pressure plates, but instead of getting pushed away, minecrats get destroyed)

    Advice is welcome :smile.gif:

    This:

sand is on a torch attacked to the TNT. Although, you could just take the signal from the timer of the first shot and use it as an input for the second shot.

Now I'll try to incorporate it all into my Experimental Engine, which gives a missile minimal arch (less than a half step). I'm still playing around with it all, but it seems to be holding together very nicely and is getting less and less expensive to make! :biggrin.gif:

I have experimented with those, I was able to make a flat(as in, engine and projectile on the same Z level) basic cannon, with only stone, water, TNT(of course), a shovel, and pickaxe, and redstone(and, if you count the timer, redstone torches{I used the water timer someone posted here}) :biggrin.gif:

I'll remake a 2 barrel one(like your avengers) and edit this post.

    EDIT:

    Here it is: http://i.imgur.com/wQRLk.png
The only condition is that you don't place TNT in the front row of water, unless, you put 2 slow sand, like this: http://i.imgur.com/xmUgX.png

    EDIT:
the slow sand configuration above is not that stable, use with caution(make the cannon out of obsidian :biggrin.gif:)

According to the results I've been getting with the Lambda cannon, I've yet to hit a limit.
According to measurements I've made, there is no such cap in momentum. In fact, TNT entities store their "momentum" as only velocity.
I still believe that the "cap" is caused from compressor TNT "fusing" compressed TNT boosters together, where boosting power is lost. As I've mentioned several times, the compressed TNT makes absolutely no arch. If the TNT isn't fused, there is no cap.

So we need enough power in the compressor to push the TNTs closer, but not too much to make them fuse?

I'm pretty sure he hacked for all that TNT...

Most of us did =\ We used InvEdit by copyboy.

Also, a picture of the 3x3x3 XOR: (I find the pictures in minepedia unreadable)
    http://i.imgur.com/gI5AE.png

Also, I don't know if it is really related, but it uses TNT.
A way to "permanently"(simply requires manual reset) cut wires using TNT, without blowing the ground completely:
    http://i.imgur.com/us4Mu.png
The sand is held by a torch that is held on the TNT block.

I wonder if TNT works on another chunk if you redstone-wire it from another chunk away

It does as long as it is in a loaded chunk.
Also, a nice little cannon, easy to make, even easier if you use only 1 projectile:

The projectile can be loaded before or after you fix the redstone wire that gets destroyed by water, TNT only detonates when it turns from unpowered to powered, if it starts as powered it won't explode until you switch it to unpowered and back to powered.

edit: I believe the cannon above can be even more deadly when operated by 2 or 3 people, while 1(or 2) places the TNT, the other one fixes the wire places the projectile.

edit2: Fully loaded simple diagonal TNT cannon(do not place TNT in the center):

Different orientation of TNT(with wires going below powering the middle, requires more time to build)):

You know what your next project is right?

TNT Cannon fires into TNT Island

    YouTube it

I shot from a simple cannon, I placed TNT where I wanted it to land, and then, PUSH DA BUTTON! BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! and I get a big crater with water flowing in :biggrin.gif:

The problem is that the TNT drops on the stone, put stones/dirt/any construction block, all the way above the wire on the left side(where it is lower).
About the video, you need to put only the id of the video
    http : //www. youtube. com/watch?v=2Q8YKrqdIQA
TNT will usually drop to the north east(basically, the exact opposite of the south-west rule in minecarts), so if a cannon faces west, you need to make sure TNT can't drop north on your wires.

Also, I saw some ppl saying "12T" "20T". what does T stand for?(sorry for the ignorance, I am not gonna read 25 pages just to find THAT out.

I find it better than cartographer by the fact it actually works for me. Although my 135 MB map freezes it up. XD

+1 although it's having trouble generating maps for my 13MB map.

I am currently running it on my 135 MB map, it is almost on 19,000 out of 53,675 chucks.
EDIT: Hm... it ran out of memory, and in the std.err.txt there were a lot of "Unknown tile 83" and "Unknown tile 82" and Unknown tile 81"
