    John Buchanan

President of the United States of America

As the son of a oil magnate, he grew up very well off. He received the best education money could buy and excelled. He graduated high school at age 16 and later received a Ph.D in Political Science from Yale University at age 25. He served on the board of directors of a major oil company before running for and winning a seat in the House of Representatives at age 28. He won another 3 consecutive elections. At age 35 he was confirmed as Vice President after the former resigned. Less than a month later the President was assassinated and Buchanan was sworn in as the President of the United States, making him the youngest President and Vice President in history. Buchanan entered office with a historically high approval rating of 82%. 1 1/2 years later, Buchanan was elected by a landslide. Buchanan adopted a policy of non-interventionism and progressivism. He was able to push through major legislation that was seen as radical such as universal healthcare, tax reform, military reform, education reform, and much more. Buchanan was reelected by another landslide for his third term. Now nearing the end of his near ten-year presidency, he is willing to do anything to stay in power.

    The Fight:

It was early morning in Washington D.C., President Buchanan was nervous. He knew that the outcome of the events that where to soon transpire would make him or utterly destroy him.

Only hours ago, Congress had passed the 28th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.

This amendment repealed the 22nt as well as the 25th amendments. It expanded the power of the president and thus the federal government and much more.

All 50 states where holing a special session deciding upon the ratification of the amendment.

There where some incentives to ratify the amendment. Personal troops of the President, as well as Federal Troops, were deployed to the state capitals as well as within the voting chambers themselves.

A phone rang on the presidential desk in the Oval Office. President Buchanan reluctantly picked up the phone.

A bomb had gone off and killed many of the Supreme Justices as well as a quite a few congrssman. The 28th Amendment had also been almost unanimously ratified by the all 50 states.

    The president was in shock.

    There was no turning back.
