I don't think you can disable bronze or steel, but Mekanism bronze and steel should be interchangeable with any other bronze and steel anyway, just use the other mod's method of creating them instead of Mekanism's. To disable copper and tin just set copperperchunk and tinperchunk to 0.
People! BIG progress in the last few days, and the 1.3 update is nearly here!
It's a big update, with 10 new awesome pets, improvements to existing pets, and a bunch of new features (and a truckful of bug fixes). We're just going to put this one here and see if you can guess what it does...
I'm going to put my money on voice-chat functionality, like the walkie talkies from Mekanism.
More aesthetic options are never a bad thing if you ask me, so I for one wouldn't mind having the option of both bamboo rope ladders and freestanding bamboo ladders.
I am kinda left wondering what a freestanding ladder can do that a hanging one can't, though, especially with scaffolds to take up the slack. Surely they'd always go up to something?
Aesthetics, I often like to build my bases on stilts to avoid having mobs waiting right outside my door, scaffolding looks out of place, as do vanilla ladders with wooden planks behind them that exist solely to have those ladders placed on them.
Closest thing I'm familiar with from the description on Wikipedia is orange flavoured Tootsie Pops. Huh, who knew there were so many confections called Jaffas?
Just tossing my two cents on the crafting vs. taming thing, I would personally say a little of each would be for the best, wild Zoids would be the basic versions, for example you might find a wild Gunsniper, tame it, and then you would craft/find the parts necessary to upgrade it to a more advanced form, like a Gunsniper Leena Special.
Also, dyeable Zoids, who wouldn't want to strut around in an awesome pink Liger Zero Panzer?
Development is starting up ... I brew beer and make wine so this is the perfect time to step and to do something productive for the community. Let's hear you feature requests! Once we get a GrowthCraft 3.0 we'll branch off to the new thread. All the kudos goes to Gwafu though for starting a great mod.
Things I have already been thinking about:
Bottling Machine
More specific strains of hops and grapes.
More specific types of ale and wine that will act like potions.
~Alatyami
Going by GrothHammerPick because my original account is locked out.
Hmm, well how about sausage making? Seems a shame to have all that ale and no brats to cook in it. And if different strains of hops and grapes will be introduced I would suggest also introducing different types of honey, the type of flowers the bees have access to influences the flavour of the honey, so if you added some more fruit trees like orange trees you could have different variants of honey and mead.
Not that I have a particular investment in the debate, but why not sun and moon pets? They'd fit in fine with the black hole and cloud pets, give the moon pet the ability to grant you invisibility at night and reduce gravity and the sun pet the ability to see invisible entities and an aura that sets zombies and skeletons on fire.
Is there a way to add more complicated items to the loot configs? I wanted to set up a challenge map for myself and wanted to use Advanced Genetics as a more interesting alternative for getting access to passive mobs than just setting the configs to allow them to spawn in the wasteland biomes or tossing spawn eggs into the chests, but the data for what type of mob DNA the item holds is stored as NBT format rather than "damage" like the other items I've added to the loot so far.
Interesting, are there any plans to add additional functionality? A way to get Minions in survival, maybe a raygun that turns villagers into Minions, making items given to them functional so you can clad them in armour and arm them with swords to defend you, the ability to give them tasks to perform like mining or farming?
Does the pack include EnderIO? If there's no stone gear then I assume there's no Build Craft in the pack, but EnderIO should include a basic gear crafted from cobble and sticks. Or you can add one of those two mods to your pack if they're not in it.

Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, bananaphone.
Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, ding, donanaphone.
It grows in bunches, I've got my hunches.
It's the best, beats the rest, Cellular, Modular, Interactivodular.

As a Yogscast fan I have to ask, does this mod include Jaffa Cakes?

Metabee loves watermelons, Minecraft has watermelons, this needs to be an Easter egg.

Just a thought for the Jukebox pet, would it be possible to add an inventory to it similar to what the chest pets have that can only store records?

Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait until most of the really cool mods start updating to 1.8 or 1.9 then.
