    I'd like being able to set up sentries to watch entrance ways or high traffic areas, maybe by connecting a spider to a certain craftable block that makes it stay in place or hang around a specific area?

    I'd put focus on human enemies. Other antagonists can be fleshed out later. Throwing in a dozen hostile species does not equal fun.

    I'm still interested in human settlements to invade. Maybe if you capture enough humans alive and cluster them together with a single egg you can get a new type of spider? Something simple, like a giant spider with three times the health and twice the damage of a regular.

    I don't think a king would be laying eggs. Not to mention that would be a very low priority if they do consider it.
