    Having somewhat of an issue, shadows aren't displaying anywhere except for noisy bits on leaf blocks. Everything else including water and waving blocks seems to work fine, it's just the shadows that aren't being very shadowy.

    It looks something like this



    My system information is as follows,
    ------------------
    HP Envy Sleekbook 4
    Windows 8 64 bit
    4GB RAM
    Intel HD Graphics 4000 (possible culprit, but if someone could confirm that that would be great)
    Intel Core i5-3317U CPU 1.70GHz

    First off, great mod.

    Unfortunately, I'm having an issue with the mod leaving water and ice invisible on fancy graphics. Updated all my drivers only 5 minutes ago, so those are all up to date. I tried playing around with all of Optifine's settings, still no improvements (apart from switching to simple graphics). Shadows casted by water are all there, and the water still exists. It's just invisible. Couldn't find any solutions to this anywhere, so if anyone could help, would be very appreciated.

    Mods installed are this one, Optifine, FiniteLiquid and Zipline.

    Wrong topic. It seems to be cause by Optifine itself.

    Absolutely agree. It's been getting insanely boring with the plain biomes. And the worst thing is, every seed seems the same. There's nothing exciting about it anymore.

    Since 1.8 took over some of the block ID's (bridges are now glass panes, ropes iron bars, etc.) will all bridges in old worlds still be turned into glass panes when this mod gets updated? (I think probably will have to repair everything I've built but just wanted to make sure)

    I suppose it's what you make of it.. I mean there's the possibilities being added of going adventuring and killing things but after all nothing should stop you from building and being creative. As long as notch doesn't disable any original features only enhances them and adds to them, I'm happy.

    But I agree, there hasn't been a lot of quality updates. I blame marriage. :tongue.gif: He'll get back to it... Hopefully...

    There's something that's happened a few times now; if I'm just about to die (boss fight, falling, etc) and I hit esc, go to title screen and reload the world, it carries on where I left off but when I respawn everything is still in my inventory...
    If it's a bug, it's most welcome but I don't think it's supposed to happen :tongue.gif:

    Had the same problem. Try switching to default/low resolution texture packs, worked for me to fix the lag.

    Got a bit of a problem here:
    Water and everything is working fine but somehow the water textures dont work.. It just shows up with the pink placeholder on the original texture pack and random textures for other tps.
    Anyone know how to fix this?

    Everyone that's having trouble with modloader causing blackscreens, try deleting everything in the .minecraft/mods folder (back it up though). Worked for me..

    I figured it out. It doesn't work well with some of the other shaders (I'm guessing it's the cel-shader but I might be wrong), so try removing those and it should work (it did for me).

    1: Normally DoF has a greater effect on close ups than when you're looking in the distance. Try having an object right in front of you when you look at distant objects, it should still have a slight effect. If you want a stronger effect, open up the final.fsh in your minecraft .jar and see if there is a value called "const float HYPERFOCAL" or anything similar and play around with that.

    2: You need a texture pack that supports Bump mapping. Those come with extra terrain.png files to put into your jar which carry the information used for bumpmapping.

    3: Open up the base.vsh and find the value that says "const float WORLD_RADIUS", I've got it set to -250000.0; and the value that says "const float WORLD_RADIUS_SQUARED", which I've got set to 6250000.0. Those values work quite nicely for me, if you want less curvature, just increase the "const float WORLD_RADIUS".
