    Hello all, I have a few things;

    1. I haven't been able to get to the Elemental Tools yet. I'd think I would be able to, because I have lots of research done. I don't have much warp, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. What are the prerequisites?

    2. Do focus casting prices seem high to anybody? I made a Bolt focus with 3 of the damage effects, and the cost came out to be about 40 vis per cast, which makes it useless. I suppose it's a balance thing, though.

    3. Is there or will there be a way to get rid of flux effects other than frantic digging and block placing? Some (or... a lot...) of flux built up in the aura around my base. I thought it would be fine, because you're supposed to let it build up a bit for research, but I was not expecting it to spread so quickly.

Mostly what I've used to get rid of flux is this focus setup. I put it here in case anybody else finds it helpful.

...as I took the screenshot for this post, I realized there was more flux spreading, very close, and very quickly. R.I.P. ;-; (I also do know about the taint seed thing.)

    *ignore the sword thing

    You want help with that?
    Is that a... Fluid Transposer?
What exactly are you trying to automate?

I think I'm ok... I am a noob when it comes to this.

It's a thing to refill lava buckets for fuel.

Tell me what you would do, though. (That was not passive-aggressive.)

TC 6...? Darn, I just figured out how to automate the Alchemical Furnace's fuel in 4.2...

I realize I could use the Advanced Alchemical Furnace, but there are "item overload" issues with that, as I would call it.

I will explain for anybody who wants to know.

*the 2000+ xp and creative energy cell... don't worry about those...

I agree that Technomancy is OP, although I still use it for the Essentia Coils. You may have seen my (poor) video on that.

I specifically meant Forbidden Magic and Blood Arsenal, for 'infinite' LP. (It produces slowly, but this system creates more blood than it uses.)

My most recent setup uses the Wrath Cage from Forbidden Magic, and the ritual from Blood Arsenal that kills mobs for their blood.

To start with, I have the 6th Tier Blood Altar, with my Blood Orb in the altar to turn blood collected in the altar into LP.

Under the blood-draining ritual, I have 4 forbidden magic Wrath Cages. They spawn cows, which give leather and beef. The cows drop leather, which (I think) has the aspect I need to spawn more cows from the Wrath Cage.

So, the leather goes down through some hoppers to an Advanced Alchemical Furnace (the beef is sent to one of those auto-delete blocks), which turns into Bestia (spelling?), which is then used to power the Wrath Cages. The other aspects goes into Oblivion Jars. (Thaumic Exploration)

The problem is, cows spawn quickly and die instantly in this unholy cow-murdering contraption system, and drops collect and fall out of the container that holds the cows, which causes lag.

So, I'm now looking for a more efficient way to get blood.

(Feel free to ask questions :D )

Forgot to mention that for some reason I thought that it would dry out the planks, squeasing out all the "life" that is left (the equivalent reaction of creating crystals from mobs) and then the planks would try to absorb liquid like a sponge.

Plus, Mortuus is somewhat liquid. The aspect in vis form

I guess it depends on if you have treated the planks with the proper non-absorbant chemicals.

Well, wood can rot from absorbing water, so it could maybe absorb liquid death...

I think that the wood would just decay, because wood is organic, anyways.
For comparison, I think that stone wouldn't be affected by liquid death because it is not organic. (Unless liquid death is acidic.)

Because drinking hydrofluoric acid is not a good idea. Or licking an exposed cable.

Similar with essentia. Not a good idea to drink the manifestation of the very powers that make up the world

    Sounds delicious

I don't think it'd be absorbed, I think it would be just some goopey combination of liquid death and dissolved wood. Trees don't absorb liquids, the roots do. (Which are part lf the tree, I know, whatever.) Even if the roots did absorb liquid death, the tree would just die.

I think liquid death is being confused with something else, that I do not know of.

    Take the concept of death.
Think of it as a liquid.
    That's liquid death.

Why would they not, simply, die? I mean, it's not called Liquid Death for no reason...
I understand, I was kidding. (You may have noticed, but I don't know if you noticed, because internet.)

    Maybe if you inject it--

    Nope still dead.

There would have to be something else, that is not Liquid Death.
Liquid Death is made for death, (just fyi) but I am thinking about what would happen if you had a very powerful lifeform and applied some liquid death... but that goes back into the "tainted" area, where things things would act more like chemistry.
Taint = tainting things, so, changing their scientific properties and stuff, similar to chemistry, I guess.
    Liquid Death = ...deaths things.

I just thought of something... could there have been, or could there be in the future, any correlation between warp and PTSD?

Could warp cause mental traumas, or PTSD increase warp madness?

Maybe if you had a flashback to some event that caused the player to have a great pain, (pain that could be more than just physical) or an event DOES happen, without a flashback...

What I mean is, maybe there could be some sort of event that causes a player's warp level to increase or decrease. Following the event, you may make super warpy armor and weaponry to avenge somebody's death, who was killed by an unstable essentia reservoir which was to be kept under watch by a certain person, or take another path to create a better... something, like an essentia reservoir that doesn't explode and kill (mostly) everybody.

    Make sense?

    Just thinking aloud.

Maybe the endermen attack you if you look at them because they have PTSD from the monoliths constantly watching them?

No, I'm afraid PTSD doesn't work like that... that's similar to social anxiety, but this isn't even the right forum for that, lol.

So they prevent them from destroying everything by destroying everything?

I mean... once it's all destroyed, you no longer have to worry about anything being destroyed. :)
That's what they're going for, right? Seems sound to me.
