Jan 3, 2012DaveyAlcala posted a message on [16x][1.7.2] Wayukian pack (Magma slime & blaze previews on pg. 144) [800k+ downloads]Well so far the cows look great, realistic, and they match the pack, but yeah I agree, the babies are going to look like crap because of resolution and size. But I barely breed because of that reason, so I kinda don't care now. But keep up the great work :biggrin.gif:Posted in: Resource Packs
Jan 2, 2012I agree, I see them both, and the colors seem to be literally the same just with stone re position.Posted in: Resource Packs

Also, since your working on the mobs, is it possible to try and make the animal heads look...normal sized? like using transparency to cover the hugeness and just add color to the parts of the heads where it would look like a normal baby animal head?Posted in: Resource Packs
Jan 1, 2012Hello there, and welcome, here is just a couple of ideas for a mod that I had planned, but unfortunately, I'm not good at coding whatsoever, so hopefully a good mod maker can see this. Now, to explain my ideas,Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
NatureCraft is a mod that adds a more natural feeling to players, adding new mobs, and a couple of new features.
This mod would create a couple of new terrain effects and new items for players to interact with.
Here is a brief list of the new mobs that would be implemented into NatureCraft
-Birds: Birds will be small, coming in different colors, they will mainly fly around and sometimes stay in trees, or the ground, their natural biome would be the forests. The will be able to drop feathers. This creatures can be summoned by different ways, such as dropping seeds in the ground, or leaving unprotected growing wheat. Regular birds are peaceful mobs that do not harm the player, but, there is a bird that does harm the player. The Crows, crows are black birds that also appear in the forests, and fly around and stalk the player, and at night this mobs attack the player by flying low and pecking the player to his\her death, if the players counter fights the crows, more will come to attack, to solve this, the player must kill the first crow that attacks him\her, crows also drop feathers. Regular birds appear in day or night cycles, crows appear only through sun down and night cycles (they will simply fly away when it becomes day time).
-Rabbits: Rabbits are agile mobs that roam the forest and snow biomes. Rabbits can be seen hoping around the land in a fast pace, they are peaceful mobs and do not drop any items so far. Rabbits live in small holes or caves in the grass\dirt, they can also interact with the player if the the player carries wheat, in this case, the rabbit will follow the player until he\she gives the rabbit wheat by right clicking on it, this will allow the rabbit to keep following, then the layer can capture the rabbit in a cage that he\she can build (this doesn't imply a new cage block. The rabbit can be a new type of pet that kinda doesn't do anything at the moment. Rabbits appear in day and night cycles. Rabbits can breed to make baby rabbits.
-Foxes: Foxes are fast mobs that travel in the forest, desert, and snow biomes. Forest and snow foxes will appear in the day and night cycles, bu desert foxes will only appear at night. Forest and snow foxes are peaceful mobs until attacked, they live in small holes or caves in grass\dirt, this will be fox dens. The desert fox will have dens as well, but they will be usually near a source of water for the fox to drink upon. All of the foxes will drop pelt, which the player can craft into leather. Foxes can be reed to make baby foxes
-Deer: There are two types of deer, female and male. Female will not have horns, while male do, female deer will not be hostile, while male deer are in case they are harmed. Both female and male will drop leather, and they will both eat grass over time. Both types of deer will spawn in day and night cycles. Deer can be breed to create baby deer.
-Bears: Bears will spawn only in forest and snow biomes, this creatures will be hostile during day and night cycles. Bears will be able to breed, but only in a certain distance so the player doesn't get harmed, when this mobs are breed, they are able to generate bear cubs. Bears will live in large caves above ground, the cubs will usually stay near the cave for security, in the cave there will be a mother bear guarding the bear cubs. Male bears will explore around the cave in day and night cycles. Bears will drop pelt, which the player can craft into leather. The player can distract bears by dropping meats (chicken, pork, and steak all can be raw or cooked), this will make the bear head towards the food and be distracted for a couple of seconds for it to eat the meat.
-Fish: Fishes will be spawn in water biomes, but not in water in deserts. Fish will be visible from land at a certain distance. The player can swim in the water and attack a fish and then the player will obtain a raw fish.
-Spawn Block: This are just regular spawn blocks that are already implemented into the game but this ones just simply spawn all of the mobs above.
-Leather Block: This block will act just like wool does, but it will have a different texture, it will be crafted the same way a wool block is, but instead of wool, it will be leather. This block does not come in different colors when added dyes.
-Food Block: This block will be crafted in the same way as a chest is crafted, but in the center then will be a chest.
This block allows the player to put a stack able amount of seeds, meats, or wheat inside so mobs can come in and eat it of allowing for the player to create complicated traps.
*New Terrain Features
-Rabbit Holes: As mentioned before, rabbit holed will be implemented in snow or forest biomes. The holes will be underground and capable of housing at least two rabbits.
-Fox Dens: Fox dens will appear in forest, snow, and desert biomes, most of them will be underground, but sometimes in the forest biomes they will appear above ground, they will allow for two foxes to inhabit the dens.
-Bear Caves: Bear caves are large and appear in forest and snow biomes, they only appear above ground, and are capable of housing two adult bears, and two bear cubs.
-New Wild Flowers: More flowers will be added, blue, pink, and purple, this will e able to be crafted into dyes.
-Mud: When rain falls, some of the grass that is near lakes becomes mud, when the player, or mobs step into it, they leave tracks.
So far this are all the ideas that I have come up with, feel free to add your own, and if anybody wants to create this mod, please feel free to do it, just give some credit for my ideas.
Jan 1, 2012DaveyAlcala posted a message on [16x][1.7.2] Wayukian pack (Magma slime & blaze previews on pg. 144) [800k+ downloads]The Dragon seems great, the colors bind great, although I haven't see how your pack works in the End, but Im sure the dragon fits with the area. The images you just showed about the cow, and the mooshroom cow are very well done, although, the mooshroom cow seems kinda diabolic or devilish because of the face, I recommend changing the eye colors to something more passive. Also, if you can, try implementing paintings and alternative textures whenever possible, great pack, great style, and all colors match the style your aiming for.Posted in: Resource Packs
Jul 5, 2011The armors looks great, although yeah they might take time to be completed, also the trees seems pretty nice, the colors makes it look a bit too dark, since the grass is lighter it might make sense the grass and leaves looks significally similar.Posted in: Resource Packs
Jun 14, 2011So how is the pack doing, not many updates recently.Posted in: Resource Packs
Jun 11, 2011DaveyAlcala posted a message on [16×] Kais's Four Winds 1.0.1 - handmade Celda textures! Finally a texture pack that actually looks good with the Zelda style, great work so far, Im loving it, and also, you might want to add more pics about the mobs, terrain, items and more, that way people can see its beauty.Posted in: Resource Packs
Also, my only concern is that that the terrain may need some extra detail to its shading, other then that, I love it.

The chests were some of the first graphics I made for this pack, and since I started I feel like my style towards the pack has changed a lot. However, the darker wood was a conscious decision because I wanted variety in the world, instead of the interior of a house looking all of the same shade. However, I may eventually revisit the oldest graphics and touch them up, but I'm not sure. They're also some of the graphics that define the pack and I'd hate to lose that sense of definition. There are always alternatives though :smile.gif:
Yeah I guess I didnt thought of that, well, if there is anything I could do, dont hesitate to ask, I'm also a pixel artist so i know my way around.
May 26, 2011Beautiful pixel art you have made here. Although I saw the bed and I dont like how the pillow looks, I guess it might need some extra shading. Also, i just noticed that in the wood planks, the colors are different from the other wood textures (Chests, workbenches note blocks etc.) and I'm not very sure if that works pretty well because I like the colors of the wooden planks and if all the wooden blocks had its color, it might make more sense.Posted in: Resource Packs
May 25, 2011This is beautiful, great pixel work, gorgeous artwork, amazing style and shading skills. You sir, have to share this with the world as soon as it's finished. If only you could change the font, it would be perfect.Posted in: Resource Packs
May 25, 2011Whoa, the lava looks sweet, and it adds style to the pack, is it animated yet?Posted in: Resource Packs
May 23, 2011I enjoy this pack a lot, its one of my favorite ones. Although the wood colors (wood planks and sings) aren't very good, I actually expected a little bit more on the signs, but they seem pretty simple once you set them down. This pack actually got me started on creating my own pack, not sure what style I will use or what reference I will need, but this pack got me started, congrats.Posted in: Resource Packs
