heh there is a mob arena on my server, the players love it. If you ever wanna check it out for reference feel free to, just join the game and do /ma join
I am running a bukkit server with bperms and world guard installed. I am trying to set it up so that the /sell command can only be used in certain areas of the world but not everywhere.
I have been able to block the command in the world by using the __global__ flag and denying /sell as follows:
"/rg flag __global__ block-cmds /sell"
I then set the region __global__ as the parent region of my city which is called "sc".
I still could not use the /sell command anywhere inside or out of the city as a regular citizen.
I would prefere to stay away from the "allowed-cmds" flag since I would then have to list every command I want them to have and that list is very long.
If anyone has any ideas or has had and fixed this issue in the past please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt
Using the "/region flag allow-cmd" Might be the only way unless theirs a plug-in I'm unaware of that allows this.
I've been running a server for about a year or two now (It was down for about half a year so that's why i can't be exact on how long) and I've noticed one thing that has never changed that I hate, minecraft updates.
I was really curious if anyone has felt the same about this? Ever since pre-hunger I was fine with minecraft, everything from the hunger update and up has seemed pointless and honestly just extremely nerve racking for me as a server admin.
Does anyone else agree or is it just me that gets annoyed that minecraft has this impulsive need to update every 2 weeks to a month now, ruining every plug-in, craftbukkit build, and basis I have set up for my server just so they can add some useless item like a carrot or something stupid no one cares about.
Maybe it's just me? Also, general server rant thread if you guys want to make that this.
First off, I recommend either PermissionsEx or bPermissions. they are better than permissions bukkit.
Second, You should look at the permissions workshop thread, it will explain everything about making your permissions, and it is a good skill to have. A lot of people get intimidated by it, and it is really not that hard. (Pretty much, just look up the node, and type it in)
Along with this ask someone for a pastebin of what you're looking for, permissions aren't THAT hard...paying someone to do it is a waste of money, many nice people will do it for free and teach you how to as well.
