I put the jar into my Bukkit 1.4.5's plugin folder, closed the server, re-ran it, and each time I have done so, the console gives me an error and doesn't load properly.

    Error message:

    snippage

Any idea what I did wrong? :\

You didn't do anything wrong. :) This error is because you're (probably) on Java 6, but Kyra_ compiled this plugin with Java 7. Edit: woops, according to the above post he fixed that.
I recommend you update to Java 7.

    Cool plugin, anyway!

How do I install improved chat? It's a jar file.. lol I put it in my mod folder but it didn't work.
Extract the jar, put the classes inside your Minecraft.jar.

Pretty slick mod, a nice replacement for ImprovedChat.

I've noticed one thing, though, and it used to be an issue with older chat mods I used, it's the line break issue in text. When trying to show a larger block of text (such as "/who" with 25+ players on), there will be some strange line breaks, where after all text is white. Usually only happens when game isn't in full screen.

Here's a screenshot, the break occurs, not too severe in this example:

    [edit]
Oh, and, for the blinking line cursor indicator, or whatever it's called, don't suppose you'd want to change that to a pipe (|)? The exclamation mark keeps catching my eye :3

i dont like to be the hater but all u did was take the all the textures for faithful 32x and make it a 64x sorry bro

Heh.. naw. That's not what he did at all. If you're going to claim that about this, you could say to the Faithfuk x32 guy: "All you did was take the default texture pack and make ix 32x32".

This man has completely redone the textures, they are true 64x64.

are you taking suggestions for this plugin?

I was wondering if there is any way to make it so you can tell who laid a block? just stand in front and do like /whoplaced or something and it'll tell you who placed it. I think that would be a sweet feature

This isn't the place to ask, I'd go here:
    http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/sec-worldguard-5-2-block-fire-ice-melt-mushrooms-advanced-fast-area-protect-blacklist-1000.790/

Anywho, if you do use Bukkit, there are a few plugins floating around the log block history. LogBlock being my personal favourite.

Come play on a lag free (No bull) server with a huge community where you can have unlimited amounts of fun! We play the game the way it is meant to be played, there is no flying, and there is no item spawning or cuboiding, we want the creations on our world to take hard work and effort, everybody will appreciate it more in the long run!

Some things that make Acme Craft Co. unique from a lot of servers, performance wise.

    * We don't use mechanical moving harddrives OR Solid State Drives, we use the system RAM to store the world, which gives an input/output of over 1300MB/S data transfer! Chunks load FAST.

    * We run on our own dedicated box, on a 100Mbps uplink in Central USA

    * We use Java 7.

How to play on the Acme Craft Co.:

    1. Go to http://acmecraftco.com. Make an account on the forum~]
    2. Click on the FORUM Tab at the top of the page, and scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a forum category named "Applications" or use this link:
    3. http://acmecraftco.com/forums/applications.16/
    4. Inside the Applications forum, read the sticky thread named "Bucknasty's Application (Example)" And copy the template out there. This link will also take you to the example thread "http://acmecraftco.com/threads/bucknastys-application-example.236/"
    5. Make a new thread in the Applications forum, and fill out the template, it will be revised quickly
    6. When you're accepted, join the server and start building!

Why you should play on Acme Craft Co.:

    • The server is months old, we know how to run a good Bukkit server! :smile.gif:
    • The world is fairly developed, and will be around for months to come. It expands when it's current borders get to be too tight
    • We have a developed Community!
    • Moderator's are mature and know how to do their job!
    • We have a ROBUST website & forum @ http://acmecraftco.com
    • VERY low grief, you can never control it 100%, but we rarely get it, so your stuff will be safe!
    • We run multiple Anti-grief plugins as well, like LogBlock, that logs all block history and allows us to undo grief. We also have Lockette so you can lock chests!
    • Whitelist, we just don't want there to be any griefers!

The staff team are true Minecraft junkies, we play the game to have fun, and try to keep drama to a minimum, it usually works out well. Most people are great friends, and we want more people to love. <3

But if i want some Mods it's not that good anymore!

BukkitContrib changes way to many classes so that i would ahve to use different minecraft.jar's one for SMP and one for all the other stuff...Thats not what i do like to do.

    Quote from OneYankeeRebel

Not to mention the contrib author even says it will brake nearly everything and he expects all modders to comply with his way of doing things becaue he intends to be the end all to everything..... rubbish... who needs this kind of control freak issue.

It was never stated that you HAVE to get BukkitContrib and use it forever, it's simply an alternative for this that works fairly well.

It would be in your best interest to not bash modders, by the way.

    1) There is no improved chat feature in bukkit contrib
    2) This requires a server side plugin to function
    3) This all equals a huge fail and is an apparent advertisement for a totally off topic plugin.

    so... neener neener neener :tongue.gif:

It isn't exactly like improved chat, but it does in-fact allow copying and pasting from chat, and line breaks while typing, which IMHO was what I liked best about this Mod. And it doesn't need the server plugin to use the features as just stated above.

Looks pretty bad when people time out just trying to connect to the test server. You may want to get that fixed.
