This game is dying in a long time, i can't wait for Hytale release enought, at least the comunity can save the good bits of Minecraft in Hytale via modding (like creepers).
This game gets easier and boring with each new update, maybe if the updates was more frequent at least the novelty would make the game more interesting again.

Minecraft Java (prior just Minecraft) and Minecraft (prior Minecraft Windows 10/mobile version) are two totally individual games, one are downloaded/purchased from minecraft.net, and the other are downloaded/purchased in Windows Store.
Minecraft Java already comes with their own java, just download it on minecraft.net, log on, setup and play (stills the best version of Minecraft).
You can use Twitch Desktop (or technic launcher) to download mods and Vanilla Minecraft too (and more important, modpacks).

I'm in your discord group, well i know how things are, we all have to pay our bills, and well, so much ppl love this mod, so, why don't you make an form of monetization? I would gladly help to pay for your time as developer and have this mod aways updated to the latest version of MC.
With all those croudfunding sites and patreon we could arrange the paying part.
