    Oh wow! I wasn't expecting this much for 1.9...This weekend is going to be pretty busy for me so I can't promise an update for the 1.9 pre-release. I'll work on it, but it probably will not be soon. I might wait until the official 1.9 release to make sure everything is done. Just keeping you guys informed.

    I have never made I hi-res pack before. I could try it out, but I can't guarantee anything.

    EDIT: It looks like the underwater particles use smoke particles so they look like smoke rings underwater. Though it seems to be unavoidable. That's all I could find. Also love the new bedsheets.

    Yeah, the new particles in water use the same smoke system as everything else. So it's either re-do the system or have redish bubbles underwater. If you guys hate it, I can change it.

    [] -Added Iron Bars (Nothing to see here)
    [] -Added Watermelons! (BLUE!!! Looks meh...)
    [] -Added the three new Stronghold Tiles (Smooth Stone Bricks, Cobblestone Bricks, Mossy Cobble Bricks)
    [] -Added Giant Mushrooms (They are just large versions of the small versions. I quite like them, but I hate the shape of the white ones. Oh well!)
    [] -Added Pumpkin/Melon Stem/Vine (Again, nothing here)
    [] -Added Misc. Unused terrain items (Such as the town borders and whatever the others are supposed to be.)
    [] -Added Vines (The old sugar cane always looked like vines to me, so now they are. These are quite nice. Might be a bit too repetitive, will look into it. Which means...)
    [] -Modified Sugar Cane (This is just the Original colored golden as I have always loved the original, but wanted them gold.)
    [] -Modified Glass (The new panes brought to light that the old glass is awful. This new version is easier to see out of. Might add a border around the edge.)
    [] -Modified Redstone (I've always hated it and now with the item change I finally have. I'm still on the fence about this change, but at the moment I like it.)
    [] -Modified Pistons (Silly Pistons, why were you cobble? Be stone like everyone else!)
    [] -Modified Stone Slabs (Again something I've always hated. Changed to be more visually appealing.)
    [] -Added an obvious easter egg (Like really obvious.)

    [] -Added Charged Bow (Artistic freedom here. There is no difference between the levels of power in CS so I needed something obvious visually while staying within the limitations of the mechanics behind thee charging. I hope this works. Also the Bow is still the Polar Star. I know the Spur is white, but also bland. If there is a large outcry, then I'll change it to the boring, white Spur.)
    [] -Added Beef, Chicken and redid all versions (The half hearts are uncooked, gaining the full heart upon cooking. Chicken has an arrow through it.)
    [] -Added the Seeds (Not much I could have done here. How do I make Press seeds?)
    [] -Added Rotten Flesh (Zombified Heart. IT'S ALIVE!!!!)
    [] -Added Ender Pearl (If you get this reference then Kudos to you! This was almost going to be the Alien Token. Might be in an alternate tileset.)
    [] -Added Melon Slices (BLUE!!!!)
    [] -Modified Redstone/Glowstone Dust (These are actual powders now. The change stemmed from the glowstone, but more on that later. Due to the lack of triangular Redstone, I changed the way redstone was placed.)
    [] -Modified Sugar Cane (Golden)
    -Updated Mobs.
    [] -Added Enderman (Don't get me started on this guy...Who's brilliant idea was it to make a normally black creature glow?!?! This is based on an enemy, I swear, but due to all the problems it is hard to tell.)
    [] -Added Cave Spiders (BLUE!!!!)
    [] -Added Silverfish (Original all the way. It is almost impossible for me to test this one so until I find a way I don't even have ideas for this one.
    [] -Modified Sheep (They are now white. I was tired of seeing all my grass move.)

    [] -Added Creative Mode allitems.png Menu (I like this. Consistency!)
    [] -Added New Chests (Chests are now completely separate items, like boats. This frees up seven slots from terrain.png!)
    [] -Added Hunger Bar (Consistency!)
    [] -Added EXP Bar (And here is the root of the multi-texture change this update. In CS the EXP bar is the Yellow one, which means I needed the EXP triangles to be the Orbs, which means Glowstone had to be changed, which means redstone needed to be changed for consistency, which means redstone placement needed to be changed. Easy Peasy.)
    [] -Added xporb.png (EXP Triangles! Unfortunately I could not locate the file for the color, so for now it will flash yellow to green. I'm trying to find it.)
    [] -Added poisoned HP Bar (I couldn't test this, because I couldn't ever get poisoned, so I hope it works.)
    [] -Modified Armor Bar (Armor Bar used to be the Yellow one. But now that's EXP, so the Armor bar is now silver.)
    [] -Fixed a graphical bug on the chest menus
    [] -Modified Title a tad.

    Wow! That's a lot of stuff.

    Blue Watermelons sound great! Late night update (3:33! Holy...need to go to bed) I've been working on updating this nonstop for quite a while now, I didn't realize everything that need to be changed. This is my biggest set of changes since release. It might even be bigger than release! Anyway I need some sleep, when I get up tomorrow I'll finish it up and release it to you guys! I can't seem to find an Enderman to test my skin...I'm sure it looks fine...

    Well the textures have been released ahead of time. This means I can get working on them at once. However, to be sure that all the textures do what they are supposed to do and look good ingame, I will release the updated pack after release, as usual. Just keeping you guys updated on progress.

    UPDATE: The support image broke. I have corrected the issue but to have it in your sig again you must re-copy the code from the first post.

    -If they aren't in there already, those unfriendly sun faces (from Egg Corridor and Sand Zone) should appear somewhere.
    I was just thinking of redoing Sandstone...
    -The framing of the glass textures currently is a bit obstructive.
    I hate dealing with Glass textures. No matter what you put on them, it always blocks something, and plain clear just doesn't look right. They are currently the exact texture for windows in Cave Story, so for now they will stay that way.
    -Signs should be easier to read.
    Signs are being completely re-textured in 1.8
    -Skeletons currently look wacky.
    Just fixed this. Their eyes will no longer be simply lines.

    I second your new torch and textures.

    Hey guys!

    I decided to play through Cave Story again in search for some new textures. Then it occurred to me that the community isn't really involved at all in this texture pack and I'd like to change that! There is no reason that this pack should be getting 2k+ downloads per update and no responses other than to ask when the update is coming out. So, starting today, I'm going to periodically ask for community input. Whether it be creating new textures, alternates of textures, or just general revisions I want you guys to feel like you have a say in this pack. Don't like something? Suggest an alternate texture!

    So to start things off here is a picture of a few textures I found that I thought I'd run by this thread.


    In this picture I have a few ideas for some textures I think might come up in the 1.8 update, then I have s suggestion for a revised/alternate torch, and lastly a couple of textures I thought might look good in the pack, just don't know what they might be.

    So let me know what you guys think. If this just flops and receives no responses, I'll just go back to updating the pack every update and that will be that. Hopefully we can make this thread more than just four pages of "Hey when's the update coming out?!" and get some actual content rolling.

    Again I want to apologize for the lack of updates. Last month was hectic and I had barely any free time. Anyway, I vow to always release a texture pack update within a week from the Minecraft update (Barring unforeseen consequences). Here is the release for v1.7!

    [] -Added Pistons (Staying true to the original while adding my own flair. Kept consistent with the other textures and items.)
    [] -Fixed Cake and Bed placement (Pesky Notch! Moving textures around willy-nilly!)

    [] -Added Shears (Racked my brain for a CS shears replacement, but could not find one, so default it is.)
    [] -Added Fishing Pole without fishing line (No more Stick!)

    [] -Improved Sign readability (I believe this change is enough, but let me know what you guys think.)
    [] -Updated Title Screen (I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! Added this much wanted change!)


    As always, let me know if something is wrong/missing/odd looking as I am not able to test everything that might have changed. See you guys for the adventure update! It looks like it is going to be big! Lots of new textures and fun stuff to reskin!

    Hello again everyone!

    Update 1.7 has been released and I am as exited as all of you about. Jeb did release the textures early for texture pack makers, so I was able to see the changes ahead of release. Expect a texture pack update sometime today as I am just about finished! Just giving you guys a heads up on progress because I know you all get antsy.

    I want to thank you all again for supporting this texture pack! I would have never guessed reaching almost 2k downloads every time! Thanks everyone!
