    I'll explain shortly. The reason why people are begging for 1.8 (myself included) is because certain mods that we always try and use, such as Flan's Mod or Zelda Sword Skills, that were updated only to 1.8 and will probably skip to 1.9 if update at all afterwards. They just want the ability to have the mod with any version of minecraft they like.

    As far as I know, yes. Plateaus are higher in elevation, so they are quickly affected by day and night much like a desert is.

    So on a serious note, not sure how nobody has told you yet, but the hitbox on wooden spikes is off. They're not able to sit on the ground like barbed wire and require floating for some reason.

    Mmm... as far as I know, it's not possible to make an NPC fly currently. Atleast not without an ENORMOUS amount of scripting. As for player distance, the 64 aggro range is to keep each NPC from being over-extensive on systems and servers. This can also probably be changed through scripting.

    64 is 64 blocks in any direction (if "must see player" is set to false). That's four full chunks. Pretty large distance if you ask me.

    Take the item called the NPC Wand (It looks like a hoe), and right-click the ground with it to make a new NPC. If you're trying to make it in survival, make a hoe, only replace the material with bread.

    This is strangely not working. When I set both NPCs up and ran tests, Phase Two (Lucas), still spawns, but will not despawn when Phase One (Christine) respawns. Could it be because the temp data is only being saved to the first NPC and not the second?


    Update: I got this to work by calling the NPCs with world.setTempData and world.getTempData.

    And I'm having my own issue now. The Apocalypse will no longer load. Not even on fresh installs of minecraft. It just stays in a loop saying "Downloading Terrain". Sound will still happen in the background from game music, but that is it.


    I believe what caused this was I managed to find out how to build and escape using the Time Portal. When I attempted to go back to the apocalypse, my game crashed due to me setting the config option for all nearby players to join on a singleplayer world. And since then, it will never load the apocalypse dimension again, despite fresh installs on the same computer, fixing the config, etc. And there's no errors in the logs.

    When scripting, I know how to make an NPC spawn another when it dies, such as a boss converting to a second phase, however, how would I make an NPC die when the first phase respawns?


    Example:

    Phase One - 30 minute respawn time

    Phase Two - Only appears after Phase One dies


    Phase Two despawns when Phase One respawns if not killed in the 30 minute time limit. It does not drop anything from its inventory.

    Forge 1.8, Flans Mod 5.0/5.1, Flans Mod Apocalypse 1.0, Apocalypse Content, Simple Parts Content, Titan Content, and Titan Parts Content. Add more content packs as you like for guns and fun, otherwise that's the minimal you need.


    Once those are installed, start a new world and make a mecha with an AI Core for the engine. Then the bombs will fall and the apocalypse begins.
