    Howdy folks. I'm completely new to Minecraft, but my kids love it. They have been playing on their iPods, and have worked their butts off to earn it on the computer. So, I'm ready to buy. But I'm a little confused about how accounts work, and haven't been able to find any explanations on the FAQs. I have in the past gotten burned by situations like this, so I thought I'd ask you experts.

    We share a Mac, and all have separate logins for the Mac. My kids don't have email addresses of their own. Today I created a Mojang account, and downloaded Minecraft for the Mac. I was able to run it without buying anything, using my login credentials (is this normal? I don't know Minecraft, and couldn't tell if I was in some demo or crippled mode).

    It looks like Mojang only allows one account per email address, but it doesn't say that anywhere for certain. Does the pre-paid or gift version of Minecraft require an email address?

    I'm writing all of this assuming that there's a reason my kids would need or want multiple separate accounts. If there's no real point, then that's great. They can use mine. But I really don't know; what do you think?

    Thanks for reading these newbie questions. And thanks in advance for any advice. I've submitted a question to Mojang, but in my experience the best answers come from the users.

    1) You are running the Demo mode
    2) Just make an email account for your kids
    3)There is a point in having multiple accounts (multiplaer,skin, ect)
    4)Pre-paid STILL needs an email because you have to register to enter the code

    I have CLEARLY stated why I am no longer continuing Battlegear. In case you missed it, go back to the thread and read the long post under the giant bold red underlined "Attention". That still does not give you the right to come here and start making demands.

    The fact is, I con't need to take this crap. The rules on the forum also clearly state that you are not allowed to ask mods to update (which you are essentially doing). Any further behavior like this from you or anyone will result in a report.

    Battlegear is discontinued, either downgrade to play it or get over it.
