Yeah I waited a bit and it fully generated then stayed up in the sky. Is there something in the config I need to change for it to generate at ground level?

Did you restart minecraft before it was done generating? It can't finish generating a tree if you do that.

Thanks for making this mod and all of the improvements to it. Also, thanks for listening to users' requests and implementing many of the ideas.

I really believe that you should update your first post to include some of the answers to the questions asked in this thread. It would sure help a lot...

Also, you said the difference between the Regular version and the Compatibility version was that Huge Trees didn't generate naturally in one of them, but you didn't specify which one that is... Can you please clarify this?

    Thanks much.

Yes he did, and common sense should also tell you which one. Trees do not spawn in the compatibility version.

Could I request a detailed description on the settings? There are a few I want clarified, and I am sure anyone new to this mod would appreciate knowing exactly what each setting does.

The settings I'm curious about are:

    Forest Density=10
(how does this and the one below affect the amount of trees grown?)
    Forest Size=1000

    Auto-Torch Block=50
    (What exactly does this mean?)
Description: How rare a huge tree biome is.
    Forest Rarity=10000
(How rare is this in comparison to other biomes [or atleast, what would the rarity values of vanilla biomes be, as a comparison])

does this mod work with all other mods like TIMBER and treecapitator? and also if it does then when cutting the logs do the roots also get effected by the mod (TIMBER and Treecapitator)?

Works with timber!, don't do it though, you WILL lag and you won't stop until you manually delete all the leaf blocks and dropped items... And it only cuts the tree down to the level you cut the first block, so roots will be ignored if you don't go underground and find the lowest point on them.

did this occur after installing a new mod? if so, uninstall it and try again :smile.gif:

Yeah, just re-installed every mod, in an attempt to make my life easier by using this mod manager instead of having to go into the jar every time. Was seeing if anyone had any insight as to what might have caused this error, so I could find the problem and what mod(s) were acting up easier.

I got these mods installed (in jar):
    Modloader
    ModloaderMP
    Forge
    Optifine MT B2
    Random mobs
    Dynamic lights (optifine ver.)
    Audiomod
    GUIAPI
    (installed in that order)

I also have these mods installed via Hippoplatimus' mod manager:
    Better Snow Golems 1.01
    Compressed Blocks
    CustomMobSpawner
    DoubleDoors
    flat bedrock layer 1.0.0
    Fluid Warning
    Huge trees 1.6.4
    IDResolver_1.0.0 Forge_Edition
    InvTweaks-1.33-1.0.0
    MagneticDrops 1.0.0 #4
    MoCreatures
    Slimes+ V1.1
    Timber!
    Volcano Mod
    Shaped Charges
    WorldAndGenerationTweaks
    Slimeblock v0.4
    ReiMinimap_v2.8_04

Any insight as to what may have caused this, or if there's somewhere else I should post this?

This is quite useful, although there were a couple mods that I did have to install directly to the jar.
GUIAPI (gave a 'please install to the jar error)
Audiomod (gave errors when not installed to jar)
    Modloader
    ModloaderMP
    Forge
Optifine (these 4 so that they would get installed properly, since dynamiclights and random mobs are patcher only, and dynamiclights had an optifine version so I wanted to make sure there were no compatibility errors from that...)

Sorry if this has already been suggested or you are no longer working on the mod, but may I suggest that you are able to generate huge trees from all the blocks, or all possible blocks. Thanks :biggrin.gif:

If I'm reading this right, you CAN, just require 1 obsidian per tree you make, if you make them yourself.
