I don't see how you get that from my answer. You can erase forest layers, namely by right-clicking with the forest layer selected.

But perhaps you mean something else? Are you talking about erasing existing trees from an existing map? That has nothing to do with layers (that's a WorldPainter term), but in that case you're right, it's not yet possible to do that with WorldPainter. You can do it relatively quickly with a tool llike WorldEdit or MCEdit, by selecting an area and changing all wood and leaf blocks in that area to air.

What the hell, right clicking was one of the first things I thought I tried before I even asked that question but it turns out I guess I didn't. Now I just feel retarded :/

Thanks for the kind reply though!

No, right clicking only removes the selected layer. Although of course if you have automatic biomes enabled, the biome might also change.

I'm guessing this is a no to my question Captain_Chaos about being able to erase forest layers? :)

Cool program, I'm wondering if it's possible to erase forests or any other layers once you've started placing them. I've found that after I lay forests I've wanted to shave some of them away or create paths through them but found no way to actually do it.

    Thanks!

I haven't really used creative maps since they were limited to 256x256. I just made one and tried going to the "corner" of the map but it seems to just keep generating grass (flatmaps).

Did they make creative maps infinite like survival maps?

    Thanks!

Anyone know how to update Custom texture packs for SINGLE PLAYER classic? I had a custom texture pack for the past 4 months and now it doesn't recognize it. Updating the jar file doesn't seem to work anymore :sad.gif:

I haven't tried it myself, but that is a pretty massive map...

Yea, well recreating the world of Final Fantasy 1 in it's entirety is going to need a very massive map :tongue.gif:

Eh? Eh? I tried omen and it just got stuck when I tried making a map bigger than 512x512 (it wouldn't even make a 512x512 map actually).

How about MCedit? I tried it briefly but it's a bit overwhelming at first and I couldn't see any way to make a larger map

Both links have been updated. The tileset and newest version of Hyrule should be there. You'll start in the Moon Dungeon currently under construction :tongue.gif:

    lol thanks I think :tongue.gif:

I didn't know the tileset had expired though. When I get home I'll update the tileset and the map download (Which will include the completed Eagle and Lion dungeons).

    Thanks!

WoW: Cataclysm, Christmas and work had me sidetracked but I'm back to building. Dungeon 2 is complete and Dungeon 3 is en route. I'm aiming to have the whole thing complete by the middle of February!

If it's really that huge spacefilm it might not fit in Classic as the map size caps out at 512x512 :/ I can look into helping you out once I've finished my other projects :tongue.gif:

First Dungeon is Complete! Updated Pictures above! At least when I viewed the old ones the right hand side was cut off on all of them so I just made individual pictures. Also added where the progress of the Lion Dungeon is at! (I have the outline of the whole dungeon but I have a LOT of digging to do to hollow it all out!)

Haven't run into many more obstacles (I think I've worked them all out). there was a minor issue of me figuring out how the Treasure rooms were going to look as they are the only parts of the game that give a side view of a screen instead of a top down view. I jerry rigged it, wasn't too difficult :tongue.gif:

    Thanks!

I was looking into Map editors and came across a thread that had imported the map of Hyrule from Zelda 1 from a .png file over a year ago. Kind of made me sad that I put all this time into my Map only to find a similar one was created in a faction of the time. I consoled myself with the fact that mine is much more detailed, has dungeons and custom textures :tongue.gif: Although with a Map Editor I might be able to actually create the Final Fantasy 1 World on my own in a relatively reasonable amount of time :tongue.gif:

I was also hoping the adventure mode gets good enough that I could use my Hyrule map to partially recreate Zelda, or at least make some sort of adventure in it! I'm also not sure what you could do to help as it's a single player map. I also kind of like creating it myself but I might not be opposed to starting another larger project after with a another person or two!
