posted a message on Anyone happens to know if the mods she is using are public? They look amazing, but I'm skeptical they're even mostly real

A lot of this seems custom made/staged. The "Radiated Abomination" uses the same model as Primitive Bolster from Scape and Run: Parasites. The only mods I recognised were End of Herobrine (Herobrine that teleports and blinds the player), Box of Horrors (Siren Head), The Hordes (The woman had the zombification status effect), Horror Elements, Biomancy, and maybe Lycanites Mobs if has been updated to 1.20.1 (A Reaper appeared when the Enderman died.

posted a message on What have you done recently?

I am playing a survival oriented modpack with The Hordes and Fungal Infection: Spore. I am 150 days into my world, and I am having a great time building a fortress to defend myself, my pets, and Villagers from Zombies and Spore mobs. Since Hordes is installed, Zombies will attack horses to turn them into Zombie Horses. I have not seen much of Spore yet though. I have only seen the basic mobs such as Infected Pillagers, Infected Witches, and Infected Humans (The Spore version of Zombies) with the occasional Infected Player or mini-boss. The block infestation also seems to be spreading very slowly, as I have only seen small patches of infected areas in unlit caves. I guess that the block infestation was nerfed to be slower for performance reasons, because I have seen YouTube videos of Spore where entire cave systems would be infected within 8 days. My fortress is almost done, I just need to build a castle gate that extends four blocks upwards. Since I want to be able to create a gate big enough for Elephants from Alex's Mobs to use.

posted a message on The Small Suggestions Thread: Electric Boogaloo

There is a mod that does this already called "Spice of Life." I am not a big fan of this mod, as it just implements unnecessary artificial difficulty, and requires that I clutter my inventory with 7+ different food items. So, I really do not support this idea, as it is just implementing an annoying mod into vanilla.

posted a message on Mobzilla from Orespawn is now somewhat canon/offical in Minecraft

For those who do not know, Orespawn was an extremely popular mod from the 1.7 days of Minecraft. It was an extremely unbalanced/chaotic mod that added a lot of random things like pop culture characters, dragons, dinosaurs, girlfriends, insects, and various ores to spawn most of the creatures and to create tools and armour to defeat the stupidly OP mobs of the mod. One of the notable bosses of this mod is "Mobzilla" which is essentially just Godzilla with a slight name change so that it seems "original." The mod is mostly looked down upon now due to controversary surrounding it and its creator along with how it has not aged well when compared to newer more in-depth and balanced mods. Apparently, there is now Godzilla DLC for Bedrock edition that adds the famous kaiju to the game as part of a DLC map. So, I guess Mobzilla is now somewhat canon/official in Minecraft outside of mods.

posted a message on Why is Minecraft so bad at other languages besides English?

I understand that in Java Edition, there is a disclaimer that says, "Not all languages may be accurate," but that is understandable, as all of the .json files are made by fans and not Mojang or Microsoft themselves. Legacy Console, at least in older versions, had a laughably bad Spanish translation that still makes me smile to this day. I have yet to experiment with all of the languages available in Bedrock, only Spanish (Spain), English (United States), and French (France), but I assume that these are all done by Mojang or Microsoft themselves. Some mob and item names greatly differ between Java, Legacy Console, and Bedrock in the Spain and France versions, even on different platforms for Bedrock. A few item names being different between versions is fine, aside from some confusion (Blazes and Llamas have the same name in Spanish (Spain) on Mobile Bedrock). Still, my problems mainly arise from the spin-offs and some official media.

Minecraft: Story Mode has a HORRIBLE script if you do not speak or understand English. I can only comment on the Spanish script because I am currently playing the game in that version. It contains horrible translations and grammatical, linguistic, and orthographic errors that not even 3-year-olds from Spanish-speaking countries would commit. Why do the subtitles also randomly switch between English and Spanish? Localisations were an afterthought or done very late in production. It also bothers me that there is only a Latin American translation and that Mojang and Telltale were not culturally or linguistically aware of the dialectal differences between Spain and Latin America. It also all feels artificial, like it was done by Google Translate. All the jokes are poorly translated, and the profanity sounds like it was blocked and replaced with a dull kid-friendly word by an algorithm that prevents translation of swear words. I do not say that "puñetas" and "hostia" should be used in place of "crap" and "damn it," but at least make the characters sound more authentic and less like robots. I have heard that the script is even worse in German, French, and Russian. Jesse is always referred to as a woman in the Russian version. It is almost as if Mojang and Telltale put the name "Jesse" into an English-to-Russian translator, and it assumes that Jesse is a woman. Maybe the now-removed Netflix version of Story Mode fixed the awful localisations, but poorly done localisations should not even exist in the first place in a game from a franchise as big and globally recognised as Minecraft.

The trend of bad or inconsistent translations continues in later games as well. Dungeons has some pretty apparent uses of Spanglish and completely changing the context of some of the narrator's dialogue and some item names. For example, there is a boss called "Horseman Esqueleto" and text such as "Un claymore." Did Mojang use Google Translate again, or were they too lazy to quickly refer to a bilingual dictionary to see words for horseman and claymore in Spanish? "Jinete Óseo" and "Mandoble" are much better translations. At least Spain has its own localisation, which is opposed to sharing one with Latin America like in Story Mode, but I am a little upset that they did not even bother to dub the narrator in Spain but dubbed the narrator in Latin America. Developers like Nintendo dubbed Wii Fit and Nintendo Land, games with lower budgets than Dungeons in multiple English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese dialects. Maybe I remember things wrong, but I could have sworn that during this year's Mob Vote, they did not even bother translating the mobs into Spanish. Is it too hard to look up "How to say crab and penguin in X language" and use the actual words instead of "El crab?"

I believe that it is laughable and unacceptable that Microsoft, a multi-billion-dollar company is okay with releasing games and media from their most profitable and recognised series with blatant linguistic errors. I understand that English is the language I type this in and that it is the global language of business and commerance. Still, they should at least be more culturally and linguistically considerate towards the non-English speaking world by providing quality translations.

posted a message on Ideas for my Fire Emblem mobs resource pack

I currently make a resource pack that retextures vanilla mobs into enemies from Nintendo's Fire Emblem. I have already made three textures for Zombies, Husks, and Phantoms that change them into Revenants, Entombed, and Gargoyles from Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia. I have the following ideas so far:

Spider and Cave Spider into Bael from Sacred Stones

    Witch into the Witch class

Ravager into Demonic Beast from Three Houses

Vindicator into the Warrior or Berserker class

    Pillager into the Thief class

    Evoker into the Cantor class

Blaze into Vestal from Shadows of Valentia (Although, this may require Optifine to work, since the entire model would need to be changed to a player or villager model.)

Zombie Villagers into Prototype Risen from Shadows of Valentia (The ones found in the secret final dungeon)

Skeletons and Strays into Bonewalkers from Gaiden and Sacred Stones

Wither Skeletons into Wights or Demios from Sacred Stones or Shadows of Valentia

I also have the idea of compatibility with the Mutant Monsters mod to retexture Mutant Zombie into Dracul or Tomb Lord from Shadows of Valentia. I also thought of turning Ghasts or Slimes into Oculus from Gaiden and Sacred Stones and Wardens into Faceless from Fates, but I think these ideas clash with the intended design of these enemies from both games. Ghasts are too big and do not multiply, while Slimes do not fly nor have tentacles. Faceless are also super common and easy enemies to defeat in Fates, while the Warden is a rare enemy that is meant to be avoided.

posted a message on Bring back Purple Arrows for Mobs like Skeletons, Strays, Pillagers, Piglins, and Illusionists to help them fight better.

For those that remember the purple arrow, it was the arrow of choice employed by Skeletons in very old pre-release versions of Minecraft. Now, Skeletons and all other bow wielding mobs just use the normal arrows that players can also use. However, what if they were brought back to better aid their osseus employers and other archer mobs in battle while also bringing back a bit of nostalgia for long time players? We all know that these archers are not the best at fighting in large groups and often commit acts of friendly fire. This usually leads to them fighting and killing each other in retaliation, which does not make sense for the more civilised and team-based mobs like PIglins and Illagers. To eliminate this error and to give archers a better chance at fighting in large groups, they will now employ these archaic purple arrows that better aid them in combat. These arrows have the same properties of a normal arrow, but they will either phase through or bounce off of mobs if it is shot by a mob of the same type or family. For example, Purple Arrows shot by Pillagers will phase through or bounce off of other Illagers like Vindicators and Ravagers.

These arrows can only be used by mobs and cannot be obtained by players, even with Creative Mode and commands. Purple Arrows obtained through commands will become normal arrows if they are given to the inventory of a Player, Chest (and other similar storage blocks and entities), Llama, Allay, Villager, Donkey, Mule, or Panda. Purple Arrows can also not be picked up on the ground in survival, similar to the already existing behaviour of arrows shot by mobs or players in Creative Mode. Mobs that use these arrows like Skeletons, Illusionists, and Strays will also drop non-purple arrows upon death. This is to prevent players from cheating in team PVP with Purple Arrows. Although, Strays would probably need to be reprogrammed to have all of their attacks apply Slowness, similar to Wither Skeletons and Husks always inflicting Hunger and Withering upon landing a successful hit.

posted a message on What have you done recently?

I went back to Bedrock on Nintendo Switch to finish up some achievements and to play with friends who only own Bedrock or do not like playing on Java. I got all of the main progression achievements and small little easter egg achievements like beat the Ender Dragon and ride in a boat with a goat, but I have a decent number of tedious achievements left to do such as get a full beacon and tame 25 cats. I already did some of the annoying ones like fill a chest with entirely cobblestone, have all three frog lights, 1000 emeralds, obtain Netherite armour, play for 100 days, and ride 500 blocks in a minecart from the worldspawn. However, this beacon one is very time consuming and expensive. I do not want to resort to Youtuber strategies like iron or gold farms, as I see that as cheating, and it feels unethical.

I also encountered a bug regarding cosmetics earned from achievements not being able to be equipped by my character. It says that it is unlocked with an achievement and displays a lock symbol on the item, but I already have the achievement. It is also very inconsistent to which items it allows you to equip and which ones it does not. I am able to equip my axolotl friendship bracelet from the win a fight alongside an axolotl achievement, but I cannot equip my creeper disguise from the kill a mob while wearing a matching mob head achievement.

posted a message on [Bug] Achievement items are not able to be equipped after obtaining their assoicated achievemnet

[Version 1.20.50] I attempt to collect every achievement for Bedrock, and I want to use some of the achievement cosmetics to show that I have some of the harder ones like All on Wheels (500 blocks on a Minecart from world spawn) and Master Trader (1000 emeralds) on servers, but the character creator says that they still need to be unlocked by an achievement. I click on "View achievement", and it takes me to my completed achievement screen. It is also random to which items I can equip from achievements and which ones I cannot, I can equip my Axolotl Friendship Bracelet that I earned in August of this year, but not my Cake Apron that I obtained in November 2018. I have heard that this has been a bug on PlayStation Bedrock editions since 1.17, but I have never heard about this happening on Switch. All of my achievements have been earned on my Switch, I have not gained achievements on other platforms like PC, Xbox, or Mobile. Is there any way to fix this, or will I need to wait for a patch?

posted a message on Share Your Herobrine Knowledge

I used to believe that his only weakness was an Iron Sword, and that he haunted my Xbox 360. I tried the popular "From the Fog" mod that adds Herobrine from the original Creepypasta, and he has only surprised me twice by me turning around too quickly. I like to mess with his signs that he places to scare me by insulting him in Spanish though.
