This is the best, seriously. You should be paid for your work on Minecraft and all these changes should be permanent so I can use it in multiplayer hah. Just to add to the discussion though, you made it you can name whatever the hell you want.
Ok, so I went with these guys after beating myself up over what service to use after... well I am not going to drag their thread down with bashing other companies, failed to deliver what I was paying for. Now I have an 8gb package that allows me to run 2 Minecraft servers that are both fairly popular, with little to no issues. I mean the sheer price that he is selling these at is reason enough to sign up, as long as you know the support is there. Trust me I know this it he first thing you are thinking of is that you get what you pay for right? Well just talk with Joseph for a little bit, shoot him an email ask some questions. Trust me hes helpful and helps in a very timely manner. Have even the smallest of issues, let him know he gets it done. He let us test drive a VPS for a few hours after we got it setup with no questions asked so we could ask our players if they would rather this over our current host, it was unanimous.
So to sum this all up, if you have a small server order here. If you have a large server, order here. If you want to host MORE than just Minecraft like I do, order here. It takes some knowledge to set this stuff up and mess with Linux, but Joseph is willing to set most if not all of it up depending on your needs so what do you have to loose?

About 2 weeks ago I was in the SAME boat as you. Now I joined http://ethelitehosting.com their VPS's are AMAZINGLY cheap for what you get. Now it is a VPS so you gotta know how to use SSH and such, however Joseph the dude who runs it will totally help you set it all up if you don't know how. I would at least message him saying you wanna check out what its like, depending on when you catch him he might have something already setup so you can mess around with for 24 hours or something like that so you know FOR SURE what you are getting. The only issue is that he sells out of server space QUICK haha. As soon as he gets some new servers they FILL UP so gotta kinda reserve some space, but that's a good sign right? He may have some right now though I'm just sayin from my experience.
Anyways, its great performance, amazing customer service and support. Not so professional looking in my opinion if I had to knock it for ANYTHING. But... its more of a personal thing though. Hopefully he can make a post on here with your permission ill send him this link and then you can PM him or something? But only with your permission of course cause of your thread title..

Yea dude that's NOT a VPS they are selling the service not a VIRTUAL PRIVATE SERVER. In fact Brohosters aren't even virtual servers they are all smashed into one main box last time I used them, which wasn't that long ago.
A VPS would have no limitations such as this, and Grandcruiser is who I rent from. The guy is a godsend, helps with things he doesn't have to even hops on to BS with us sometimes. Good guy, I recommend.

So my other computer I didn't wanna update to 1.5 so I got the new launcher and now it says that I cannot connect to online. I am playing on 2 computer with 2 accounts, so I don't know if that is the issue or not but all it says is "cannot connect to internet" then asks me to play offline.

Yea, got waaaay to busy that is my fault. Was my fault, but anyways we are at 90 cap now... haven't hit it yet thank god haha. But yes we have a steady 50 on.
Quests have finally been added, im pretty happy with them right now... want to add a lot more but they give you a random one from the 50 some odd that are in there. The more you complete the more items you need to collect or break but the more money you get... Also completing 10 gives you bonus items as well!
