You can still change the activate key though, the settings has always been bound to the activate key plus SNEAK, like literally since day 1. The only difference is that the old, cryptically named "direct mode" is now configurable in the controls as well, which is what you're looking at.

When trying to change the settings key combo in the controls, I can't choose whatever key I want, it only changes between "Grave", "LShift+Grave" and "Disabled", so to open the settings I have to go to the Controls setings and click the Macro Settings button there. I usually had it set as LShift+MULTIPLY in older versions but I can't set a specific key, I only have those.
Glad you got it working, no idea why the fixed installer wasn't working for you. I don't understand what you mean by not being able to change the key though? What happens when you try to change it to something else?
Do you mean that it's a network of servers using BungeeCord? If so then the answer is no. As far as the client is concerned BC server networks are 1 server, the only thing you might be able to do is use onWorldChange and try do something clever with parsing chat or something if it gives you a message when you switch servers.
About the other thing, yeah this is probably a network of different survival and minigame servers connected into one address, so I guess I can't do anything with that. I mean I have made different configs for each one of them I play, I just probably won't be able to automatically load them whenever I change to another server, because all of them share the same address xD nevermind, not that big of a problem.
0Tried installing another version of forge like you said and it seems to work now, tested it and all my mods work along with this one, now I can test how it works! thank you very much! So far I have problems with the settings key, since I don't seem to have access to the grave key on this keyboard, because it isn't an english keyboard and works differently, so not having the option to change it at will makes me impossible for now to use it.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Now a question. I use this mod also in a server which allows it, but I find the problem that, when jumping between the different kind of servers they have, since the config is based strictly in the server address/IP, no matter if I'm in survival, skyblock or factions, I always get the same basic config. You think there may be a way to make that more specific? I mean, is it even possible? or I will have to change the config manually depending on it every single time?

And where is it? 'cause what I tried is named "liteloader-installer-1.7.2-04", maybe it isn't beta and I got it wrong, I downloaded it from the first post of liteloader topic. I can install it normally without forge, but not along with forge :/
There's a final release now, try that. It's no different than the _03 beta but I made some changes to the installer so it may fix the issue you're describing.

EDIT: Or maybe not, for some reason I don't seem to be able to install or make the game recognize latest beta of liteloader :/ f I try to chain it with forge 10.12.0.1024, window disappears, and it never seems to end (javaw.exe process is still active with no memory usage changes). Waited for more than 10 minutes and nothing. Read something about no need to chain it and the chance to simply use the mods folder, but doesn't work either, pretty weird, if I manage to make liteloader work, then I'm going to test this mod.

1Sadly I can't make this work with Forge. I'm using 1.7.2 latest stable version of it, and now it loads, but I get tons of visual errors inside. That with the 1.7.2 optifine 'cause 1.7.4 obviously won't even load. Bottom half of the chests are invisible, legs, pants and boots are glitchy, cows are shown as 4 legs and nothing else, and some other weird stuff. I'm glad Minecraft is a finished product - polished, bug free, the best piece of software ever written by mankind.

If the server has multiverse or multiple servers you can teleport from, try the xray in another one of the servers, leave it activated and then move back to that server. It worked for me, now I got xray in a blocked factions server every time I go in lol

No, code-freeze is NOT related to mods. It's only a developement thing, and what it means is that is a very limited kind of stuff what you can change, mostly oriented to bug-fixing, and not to modding. You can change some things, but you can't really add new ones.
I'm amazed of how much people think that this means there won't be any more updates, but this is just a month, until the game is released, then eventually we'll see new stuffs, after the game is officially released (Nov 18th)
