Question, will the ice golems be made of ice, packed ice, or something else, like frozen cobblestone? I know that it's probably ice, but I'm a nitpick Nazi and I just had to ask anyway. Also will they be built like the iron golems or will they be different, like how the snow golems are different?

Edit: I'm asking about the materials mostly because I'm hoping against hope that they're named after their biome and/or the dragon found in those parts and I won't have to make an enchanted pickaxe to create one.

What do you mean by "Ice Golems"? Wrong thread or?...

I do not understand, isn'tMinecraftt at 1.11 already, what's this talk about releasing for 1.10.2? I am extremely curious when this mod will come out although exact date is difficult to know however likely how many months or is it year(s) from now?

They started making the mod around when 1.10.2 came out I think. converting the mod to a newer version would takes months, further extending the already year old WIP mod. Currently they're in the bug testing phase as of about two-three weeks ago. I'd say it'll be done this month or early January at the latest. But that's just me, I ain't got no real say in this

1.10.2. I was told awhile back more than once that it would be 1.10.2. They're holding off on updating and focusing on putting out the release to avoid another set back. There's always a chance that things could change, I am not a developer or even a beta tester so I don't have inside information, but I was told this quite firmly multiple times so I do not believe at all that we are going to be surprised with a 1.11.

Oh, well their tag up top says 1.10, okie dokie then. Thank you.

I think there should be a function that Dragons will seek out treasure and steal it. I dunno why.

Actually that's a pretty good idea. It'd give dragons a good reason to raid villages and your bases, plus it would provide a way to set up an ambush for a dragon. A lot of gold or silver crafted into piles or chests full of gemstones and golden/diamond stuff in them. You'd need a LOT of treasure to get a stage 4 or 5 though, something kinda like Erebor and Smaug. Although dragons have a tendency to smell out an ambush. However if there is enough treasure to grab, greed should override their survival instinct.

Ice and Fire dragons are 2 distinct, genetically incompatible species and thus can not interbreed. Additionally, Ice and Fire dragons are highly territorial to one another and as a result will fight.

Apologies for the double post, but I couldn't resist.

You could make them compatible, but in a different way than what the what the others are saying. My idea for the matter of breeding the two dragons is, 1. Both parents must have near 100% like to their owners for the dragons to even tolerate each other, even less than mate.(It should be a really rare event for them to.) 2. If they do mate and create offspring, said offspring would be unlike ether of its parents, and due to its parents being largely different than one another, would be stunted and "malformed". 3. Said offspring would be a Brown Dragon, one who has no breath attack and can only grow to the size and power of a T3 or T2 dragon. However brown dragons can be considered a Tamed species and are easier to take care of and deal with.

Essentially they are a weaker and smaller breed of dragons that are unnatural and don't ever spawn in the wild, but they are "cheaper" and easier to train due to them being calmer than they larger parents/cousins. And they don't eat as much, since they don't need to "refill" their breath attack.

In essence a Brown Dragon would be the inexpensive and simpler means of having a dragon, and would go great in a multi-player economy as a dragon breeder profession.

It would be be very cool if when used on a mob (except dragons and other powerful creatures) that mob starts to run away from you just like a creeper runs away from a ocelot or a tamed cat.

Well in some myths the head of Medusa was crafted into a shield called Aegis, said to be too awful to behold. So it could be used to scare certain mobs away.

Actually Gorgans are a cursed humans, Naga's are humanoid reptilian creatures that are born the way they are. Though Mudusa(One of the Gorgans Sisters in Mythology.) was similar to a Naga. But Naga's can come in quite an array of colors and types(Some being sea dwelling or even desert dwelling. And can range from looking like constrictors to Cobras). Most of which appear human from the waist up, with a snake like tail from the waist down.

Okay first, Medusa, with a E. Second, Medusa was the near human looking of the three sisters. The only difference was that she had snakes for hair. Her sisters however, are the half snake half woman creatures. Whom also happen to be immortal, unlike their sister. You know, with the whole cutting off her head and her staying dead thing.

Hey, I have and perfect Idea for this mod, more dragon types!
Earth Dragons are your usual land dragon, with a few variations here and there, with and rare kind of earth dragon thats basicly a worm dragon, which you'll be able to tame and ride, and the underground dragon will have you mount on a reinforced metal and glass saddle, so you can go undergound with it, also tamable

water dragons: usual stuff, with maybe a sea serpent dragon with the same saddle as the worm earth dragon, but with a water tank so you can go underwater for prolongued times, only having to emerge a few times to get air, also tamable

Lighting dragon: Variation of the water dragon, but only spawns in rare spots of the ocean, like slimes do on earth, it shoots a lighting beam, but it makes you imobile while firing it, and you need to charge it before using it, or by flying underwater fast and waiting a bit, or by killing squids and underwater creatures, and eating them, the water option can do for a fast charge but the creature killing option it will last a lot longer, the damage isnt that great too, being around the damage of a stone sword per tic, so you need to be realy fast and get off the beam's way, also tamable

    just a few ideas ;D

I'm not going to blame you for not going through the many comments on this thread, but it's been stated countless times.

There will be NO more dragon types added to the mod for a Long Time, if ever.

The reason being, is that the creators are striving to make the mod as Mythological and old time Fairy Tale as possible. With a sprinkle of D&D in it. There will only be two dragons, with an assortment of other creatures and magical beasties alongside them. And if there is ever going to be another dragon, this is only my belief, they will use a original and unique version of one.

I thank you for your idea input to the creators of this mod, but any ideas for new dragons are not going to be implemented. However if you have any ideas for anything other than a dragon, then go right ahead and pour your heart out.

posted a message on 1.8+ Engender Mod: Raise an army to defeat your enemies!

Well, the reason for the whole 5 comments of other people before me while also having over a thousand views is probably due to one thing.

    Presentation.

Your main mod post has a nice little artful title, but the rest of it is a simple long list without any color. It's like a store, you can't just make the sign on the outside great, but have an empty inside and all of your products on a plain table in the middle of the room. It's not going to catch anyone's eyes for long. You have a solid mod here, nicely done by the way, but when someone opens your post and sees a colorful title, but with only a small paragraph and a couple of spoilers filled with long lines of text, it's kinda boring. No offense.

My advice would be to jazz the rest of it up a bit, nothing too fancy, give it some color, maybe spend some time finding a blank crafting chart to fill out with your recipes. Just put a little more put omfph into it.

Now, i'm going to guess that your concept is probably better than mine. But I think the Fire Dragon Boss should be a great deal different then the Ice Dragon one.

My idea is this, a trio(multiple) of Warlords from a far off land have raised their own Dragons and aim to take over the land. Now I'm thinking this should be an event or something after you have defeated the Dread King. The reason being the Warlords were frighten of incurring the wrath of said King by attempting to take over the land that he himself tried to do.

Now this boss battle should be easier in some ways, but much harder in others. The warlords individually are a good bit weaker than the Dread King, however in your fight with them you have to battle all of them at once.

With that idea out of my head, have you thought about any dungeon type stuff. Such as a wizards cave to get some magical loot, after surviving all of the traps in it?

p.s. Fantastic mod, I'm so glad that you and your team are making this. Thank you.
