    ! ! !
    This is discontinued.
Check out Lithos by Eleazzaar, it's actively developed and of a similar style.

You are all free to use these textures in any way you want other than simply re-distributing them for profit without significant original work (you can use it as a base for your new pack or do a continuation).
    ! ! !

This is pretty much my version of the Faithful texture pack. I always thought that people where mildly crazy for using faithful, and I thought that I could do a better job without much effort, so a made a couple of textures... then I never stopped. I've gotten to the point now where I'd really appreciate some detailed and nitpicking critiques, especially considering that this is my first attempt at 32x textures.
I currently have most of the blocks and items done along with some random bits. I'm also using the fonts and art of some other artists (credited at the bottom of the post).

Some pretty (old) pictures for your eyes:

Thanks to both of them for making those awesome things and allowing people to use them!

Do not re-distribute files included in the download or modified versions of them. If you want to use my work for anything other than personal use (or YouTube videos, which I encourage), then contact me through this thread or PM.

Because you are not using a program that supports transparency or you just didn't use it. If you are using 'Microsoft paint', use 'paint.net' which is a free image editing program that supports transparency.

You need to actually imbed the images into the post. Click the little icon with the picture of a tree in the editing window and insert the URL.

WOW! This is really good stuff, so good I'm going to go into super nitpicking critique mode :)

    First, some small tiling errors:

There is a small dark line that runs along the grass:

And a pattern that should be broken up in the stone:

Second, there are a few textures that i personally think could be improved with some simple changes:

I think the stone bricks are a tad too noisy, and that if you smoothed them out, it would look nicer and differentiate them more from the cobble (which is really good).

It could just be me (I am a bit colour blind) but the tops of the pumpkins are a little more saturated than the sides.

The spruce logs have a curvy bit on the left side that looks a bit "I've never made a texture pack so I'm going to draw squiggles !LOL!" (not that I'm accusing you of that). It could stand to be straightened out a little bit as it leaves some gaps and makes it not tile as well as the other logs (which looks amazing).

Finally, the jungle leaves have a bit of a tiling error where there is a big clear line. They also look a bit flat (some deeper shadows would look nice).

That's it. That is all I can fault in your pack, which is a surprisingly short list compared with what I can usually see (well, those and the grass colour). Can't wait till this is finished!

Very nice! The overall feel of the pack is very bright and retro and most of the textures are very well put together.
    My only criticisms are that:
    - some textures (like grass and jungle leaves) don't tile particularly well (though they have no egregious patterns).
    - some textures (mostly of the stone verity) seem a little flat, and could do with some more contrast and highlights/shadows.
The jungle leaves strike me in particular as being both flat and tiling badly.

Some things that I like in particular are the side grass (snow and normal). They are very stylized without being annoying and they have plenty of depth. All of the logs are also very nice. They have heaps of detail using only a few colour (something I always appreciate [possibly because I'm bad at it myself])

    Keep it up!

Any word on 1.6 stuffs? Have you gotten board of the texture pack
It would be sad, but being a texture pack author myself, I'd completely understand.

You truly are the best at 16x texture packs with limited colour pallets. I occasionally struggle to understand how you pack so much detail and character into so few pixels with only 3 or 4 colours.
    Some critique:
I think that the textures for sand and sandstone are too similar. They both look great and I'm not sure which one you should change (leaning towards the sandstone), but I think one of them needs to be made more distinctive from the other. Presently you need to focus on them to figure out which one is which, and that is bad for game-play.
The oak logs don't tile particularly well.
I think the spruce wood could do with a touch of darkening.
Finally, the Ice texture is too contrasted and opaque. When i first saw it I thought it was some kind of glitch.

Aside from that, you leave me bewildered and perplexed; but most of all, impressed :)

    2) I think stripes are pretty!

sure they look pretty, but because the dark stripe is so dark, when you are in the menus that have shading, you can't see any darkening. lighten the texture up a bit.

This is a very nice pack with some fatal flaws.
    1) The light map is absolutely horrid. The switch from day to night happens in about a second, and at midnight it is literally pitch black. In the evening, it is way too blue.
    2) The background texture for the menu is really bad.
    3) The grass is too blindingly bright. I get what you are going for, but it's too much.

    ...aside from that, it's delightfull!

This is very nice. Your idea is, as you admit, not at all origonal, but the exicution is brilliant!

I think this would be great if you used Connected Texture Mod to remove the boarder between blocks like stone and dirt. The boarders look good on processed blocks, but the natural blocks look odd with such thick dark boarders, and using CTM would probably look great.
