Dunno, you sure you just weren't using the jury-rigged that explodes? 'Cause i'v been usin' the Blunderbuss and flintlock. He says the stone one blows up in your face so if that is it, that ain't the easter egg i believe. Could be wrong.
Yeah, it's the jury-rigged one, but the egg itself revolves around the backfiring of that pistol, I think. Didn't try the other ones. Regardless, certain conditions must be met before you decide to get it to explode.
I'd rather not fire the jury-rigged pistol within the company of allies. Then again, they'll know when it goes kaput, no matter how far away from you they are.
It exploding is told in the first post, so i don't think it's an easter egg if it is told right away...

For me the 1.4_01 Optimine makes almost no difference (+1-2 FPS).
The older 1.3 Optimine was working OK for me (+5-10 FPS).
Other people have reported significant FPS gain with Optimine.
OptiFog in FAST gives me +80% in FPS and more terrain is clearly visible so even shorter rendering distances are playable.
Hmm... I guess I'll be switching to Optifog for the time being.
I can't code worth two cents, so I figured I'd bring it here. Here's the pitch.
Statue Mobs
Ever wanted to hang out with a creeper, but didn't want it exploding? Ever wanted to encase a zombie in glass, but didn't want the hassle of getting him in there?
A "statue" would solve this problem by spawning a "dummy" mob, no A.I. whatsoever. The zombie or whatever would then not move, nor attack, acting as if an actual statue. I'm pretty sure this would be easy to make.
Like all mobs, they can be pushed around, and like all aggressive mobs, they will continuously look at you with their evil stares, until you right click them, freezing the mob into place. Ergo, a statue.
TL;DR: A mod that enables you to spawn an aggressive mob that doesn't attack nor move, but will keep looking directly at you until you right click, freezing them into place.
I think these should go hand in hand with Single Player Commands and Spawnlist, since statues are a mob within themselves, and shouldn't spawn like normal mobs, since they're for decoration.
Statue Blocks
This is the alternative to the Statue Mobs idea above.
I had an alternative idea just in case coding the right clicking part for the Statue Mobs would be too complex.
If it were possible to code a block, one for the bottom half of a mob and one for the top, you could stack the two and create a statue. But seeing as they could only be facing four different directions, that would be a problem in terms of positioning. However, since signs face the placer when placed on the floor, this property could be added in as well, so instead of right clicking the mob as aforementioned, you would only need to stand where you want the mob to face, and stack the two blocks accordingly. But signs and blocks are two different entities, so that would just raise more problems.
I think.
TL;DR: Coding two blocks, one for the bottom half of the mob and one for the top, when stacked on top of each other creates the full body of said mob. This, combined with the "sign-faces-user-when-placed" property of signs, would ease the hassle of coding the "stare at you until you right click on it, freezing it into place" part of the Statue Mobs.
I have traveled the internet, and I've decided to make my next lodging... Here.
Hey everyone. The name's David. I'm 16, and I feel that there's so much to do but so little time in this world. I write poetry, do some parkour here and there, write songs, mix techno and eat. A lot. No, I'm not fat either.
I originally originated from 4chan-- And therefore I'm into anime and whatnot, as well as being a certified troll. Prior to that I was from the Gaia forums, which was essentially a kid version of 4chan. From there I proceeded to live out my life in solitude. I got bored with that, moved to 4chan, watched it die, and here I am. I was introduced to Minecraft through YouTube personality Djy1991-- a film director with the majority of works being done in Garry's Mod. He had mentioned it in a Livestream session, although at the time I paid little attention to it.
One month later, I saw gameplay footage of the game, and fell in love with it. I made my way here after a few of my friends brought up the topic of mods. Curious, I found this forum.

The exploding is only half of the easter egg.

I've been unable to play since the 2.1.0 update.
I was using the Xmx800m command, and now I keep getting "Bad Video Card Driver" errors.

An alternative has been added.
But I don't know if it's harder than my first idea...

Pretty colorful.

I don't know if it's possible, but I'll throw it out there, since both mods modify i.class, and MyCraft has major problems with that.
