    Quote from schorcher

Nobody will die without gay marriage.
People could get really hurt if a protest forms against gay marriage.

And don't compare this to slavery again or the African-american civil rights movement.
Certain people will still discriminate gays.

We asked for reasons, not the first thing that comes out of your mouth.

posted a message on Gay Marriage should be legalized.
    Quote from WERTYUL

First you say that people have the right to do whatever they want. Then we want to exercise that right by expressing our opinion that being able to do absolutely everything you want as long as it 'doesn't effect other people' is destructive. Then you say that such opinions cannot be tolerated and are dangerous. In the end, the only non-hypocritical sociological solution that follows the doctrine of moral relativism is complete anarchy, but obviously none of you would want such a situation because you wouldn't survive. So you make your own moral code that doesn't really support freedom, but only temporal pleasure. Therefore, you're all either materialists or are atheist militants with a strong double standard.

You're free to have your opinion, but don't expect people to always agree with it and to point out flaws. Contrary to belief, opinions are NOT exempt from criticism.

You have a real knack for copy-pasting
I'll get back to you tomorrow concerning these.

    I thought your Neo-Paganism was a joke.
    Please tell me it is.

Why would you think it's a joke? Because you know his religion as a "myth"?

I don't get it, why do you think of it as a joke when you believe in an invisible creator who floods the world and then tells everyone he "loves them"? I hate it when people laugh at Greek and Pagan and Norse tales, call them myths, then go back to worshiping something which will probably be considered a myth in a couple centuries.

    Quote from MaGicBush

Did you miss the posts about women rights being lower than mans? Also how does it demote the use of force when there are direct passage in it that refer to violence(Papafern quoted one).

I also agree with Papafern's view on Islam, it's a false religion that promotes violence, hatred, and oppression. All 3 of which are sins, and God clearly states there will be many false religions.

A false religion? Oh please, you speak as if you're so sure that yours, or anyone's for that matter is the right religion.

posted a message on Questions For Atheist
Seriously, none of these questions have anything to do with being an atheist, or atheism itself. These are questions for scientists or philosophers! Why do we always have to explain our non-belief using a bunch of scientific facts? For me, it was just the illogical stories and concepts of a monotheistic religion that turned me away.

posted a message on Am I the only one against gay marriage?
    Quote from JFRobot

And you hope I'll vote for it?

My stance has changed now. I'll allow homosexual marriage.
But here's why: because I can, in turn, use it as an example to show how men are totally depraved.

I came to this decision when I had a thought: I don't need porn banned because I can avoid it. But I can also use it as an example to show how men are in constant rebellion against God. So, in essence, it gives me more evidence of man's sinful nature.

So I'm going to allow it to happen.
But I'm not voting for it.
Better to let a mess occur than to contribute to it.

Why? Because they believe in a distortion of scripture.

Please. Please tell me HOW the gay marriage is a mess. Don't use the damned Bible. Just please, offer logical evidence on WHY the hell you describe the happiness of two individuals, and the rights and benefit they earn from marriage, a mess.

I don't give a rat's ass about souls, God, eternal damnation, or any of that religious stuff. Why the hell should they? Is it seriously so freaking hard to comprehend that not everyone wants to follow your rules? Nobody tries to legalize gay marriage because they want to you off, sin against God, or whatever reason involving religion. People really, really, REALLY just want to make the world a more equal, fair place.

How the hell can we have that when we have people who try and force their views on others? Gay people don't do this. If gay marriage were legalized, only THEY will participate in that. Straight people can, and will still live on as if nothing happened. Because nothing happened. We just let gay people marry.

So please tell me without bringing your religion, your personal views, YOUR OWN MORALS, into this, why gay marriage is a mess.
