Someguyfromcrowd posted a message on No backward compatibility!!!How do these updates "break your creations"? Do they come in with a big stick and smash up all your windows? Is this a racketeering scheme?Posted in: 1.1 Update Discussion
Something tells me that it's not and that you're just griping about some glitch your world abused that was fixed. -

Leosanims_Studios posted a message on "Villager conversations!"I would like instead of quests like " Give me that item " or a pre-written missions, i would prefer Quest generation.Posted in: 1.1 Update Discussion
Like, at night if there is a big amount of monsters somewhere near the village a squidward will tell you : Go to X: 95, Z : 100 and kill all the monsters, bring me the loot and i will give you something back.
Quests that would take changes in the world in account.
Like, if there is a huge mountain biome near the village and you talk to a squidward it will tell you : Go to the top of that mountain and bring me something yo find there.
If it is near a desert : Get some 64 sand and help me make some glass.
If it is near a forest : Get 128 wood and give it to me.
That would give villagers some kind of intelligence, they would know what are their surroundings and they will give quests depending on their surroundings...
It would be cool if you could do 1 quest per every villager, once you help every villager with their quest you will have to find other village.
In that way there wont be infinite " Quest farming " and would require finding a lot of villages -

Aren't you forgetting we have a creative mode you can easily test this with by spawning snowblocks?

The new updates putting on a concert with the old worlds is just silly, what sort of music would they play on stage? I don't think they even have arms.
lol nah just messing with you, I know it means to work in harmony or in agreement. Jeb has been trying to make the world format more update friendly, that is why he created Anvil. The whole map format was overhauled just for this reason. With biome data being part of the map and not the seed, it would been already generated chunks are unaffected.

givingup couldn't figure out how to go into 3rd person mode on his mac. Then Wowfunny251 called it a toaster. At which point EvanderQuisling7737 attempted, poorly, to reason that Macs are cheaper than a high speed PC.

Funny you say that because Macs cost nearly Twice as much as a PC/Laptop with comparable specs. I think I just overdosed on irony...
A typical Core2Duo Laptop is $300 for Low End and about $500 for Mid Range which feature i3 or i5 CPUs
People have different reasons for getting macs, but low price isn't one of them.
I doubt you can find New Macbooks that low. The specs really aren't all that special. Thx for the laugh. :laugh.gif:
