    So a lot of people have been asking why this mod is on hiatus.


    I'm going to spare everyone a lot of the details, but a lot has happened in the last few months that have kind of left me really unmotivated to continue on with Digimobs. But I am back here today as kind of another attempt to get back into the swing of things. I have more or less scrapped all my major plans for what I was working on in favor of going back to the roots of the mod, and figuring out where the disconnect with players has been stemming from. So assuming there is another update in the future, I will be working on making the mod more new-user friendly, as well as perhaps redoing some of the more clunky parts of the mod into something that everyone can be happy with.


    I also hope to maybe set up some kind of social media for the mod, like a lot of other mods do, so that players all have an outlet to come find news on regarding the mod. I'm feeling like there is a lot of disconnect with the fans of the mod because there hasn't been a proper news outlet, other than the digimobs forum. And apparently people can't be bothered to register for that.


    However, there are also a few things I want in return, should I continue working on the mod. In particular, I keep talking about disconnects. It seems like there is not necessarily a lot of support for this mod anymore, and this has been a problem for longer than I have been on hiatus. People rarely post ideas, or models, or show any kind of interest in this mod continuing. Personally, that just adds fuel to the fire for me to spend my time doing other things. So I'd like to basically see proof that there is still interest in this mod in the next few weeks or so. This mod started out as a community driven mod after all, and I would like for it to continue to be.

    This can include:

    1. Just posting and saying "Hey, I want to see this mod continue"
    2. Maybe model submissions.

    3. Thoughts and opinions on things that do and/or do not work in the mod. Things that are clunky, things that you think can be improved upon, etc.

    Things that aren't helpful or useful in anyway
    1. Asking me to make the models look like Pixelmon models

    2. Spamming me to implement biomerging/spirit evolution. This isn't something I plan on doing until we have more digimon in the mod.

    3. Complaining that you can't immediately get any digimon you want. I understand that there are some things that may be too difficult for players currently, but the solution is not to make everything immediately available. So while I welcome thoughts and ideas on how to even out the difficulty, I do not welcome people telling me to "go back to the old taming" where you could pretty much have anything you want by spamming food.


    Anyway, to maybe start back off on a good note, here is one of the models currently being worked on for the next update. It is a remodel made by someone who has requested to remain anonymous, but it is quite detailed...


    I look forward to hopefully seeing some well thought out opinions and/or support in the next few days. Until then, I will attempt to continue slowly working my way back into a decent routine.

    You're right! As a matter of fact, making an official list of all the digimon in the mod is so not hard to do that in fact someone has already done it!

    A general warning about updating to 0.9.7e:


    There was a change in the way ownership of digimon is saved in the latest version, unfortunately I did not have the foresight enough to see that this would not be implemented into digimon within their v-pets.


    So before you update, be sure to leave your digimon out in the world. Anything inside the v-pet will not recognize you as the owner unless it was sitting out in the world upon updating.


    Also I'm going to take this opportunity to again say that server discussion does not belong here. I don't care if you are trying to get me to immediately come online, or bashing it because you were caught griefing and are now throwing a temper tantrum because you were banned and caught logging on from another account coughblazer2samcough. The rules of the MC forums state that this section is for mod discussion only. If you want me to reply to anything server related, you can go to our forum. Anything sent here to me about the server will simply be ignored.

    Digimobs(0.9.7d)



    This update is purely to make servers more
    stable/preventing some crashes from possibly happening under certain
    circumstances. Nothing new was added. Except Gladimon. I definitely
    added Gladimon to the Kotemon line just so there would be something new.





    Server upgrade took..an unexpected turn, so it is taking a little bit more time to prepare. It should be up in two hours(or less depending on how quickly we get things done. Check back soon! Also remember that it now requires CustomNPCs in addition to Digimobs.

    -Fixed a bug allowing people to use commands in basic survival with no permissions


    Entities

    -Fixed a bug where digieggs would retaliate if you were being a bad tamer.

    -Fixed a bug where digieggs would retaliate period.

    -Added one new digimon because why not.

    -More corrections to the attack and defense parameters of digimon.


    Blocks

    -Fixed a bug where digimobs plants could be trampled.


    Items

    -Fixed a bug where the red card and blue card were not displayed on the creative tabs.

    -Fixed a bug where medium hp recoveries were displaying as large hp recoveries.

    -Fixed a bug where sirloin was not plantable

    -Fixed a bug with chips not working properly

    -Fixed a bug with the DatiriEgg and YuraEgg not spawning the proper digieggs.

    Known Issues

    -There are still likely many issues to resolve from the port to 1.8.9. Please post any bugs you may find.

    Server discussion does not belong in this topic. I will begin reporting posts if you all can't follow that rule, and I'll let the mods tell you the same. You can read why the Digimobs Adventure server is down if you simply read what the server description says when you log in. It's really not that hard.


    Killjoy is also doing maintenance to his server. Again. If you want to know more, contact him, and stop posting here.


    Let me say it one more time for those that seem to skip large amounts of text. This topic is for mod discussion only, not servers. This is not my rule, this is the rule of the forum. I'm done asking nicely for you all to follow it.

    Apologies for the confusion in the update. There was a rather large bug discovered right before the release, and I opted to remove the download to take time and fix it. Granted, you should realize by now that every update comes with a changelog, and if you don't see a download option, or a changelog, chances are the update isn't ready yet.


    Thank you to everyone who has been patient while I fixed this rather crucial bug.

    And for those of you still upset and claiming that you're being trolled due to falling for the April Fools prank get over it.


    That being said, the update is now ready. The server is almost ready as well. I have included the IP address on the front page already, so be sure and use that to log on. The server will go public at 10pm(5 hours from now, logging on earlier will just get you met with the whitelist) est tonight. And as always, take any server discussion to our forums. This topic is for the mod discussion only.


    Digimobs(0.9.7b) for 1.8.9

    General

    -After nearly two weeks straight of
    updating, the 1.8.9 update is here. Because of the drastic changes made
    with 1.8, there are still many things that have been changed and or
    still partially broken. Be sure to report these. In exchange for not
    having a lot of new stuff..we have plenty of new digimon to offer you.


    World

    -Changes have been made to the way the digital world is saved.

    -The frequency at which various ores spawn in the digital world have been slightly increased.


    Entities

    -14 new digimon! Including the Puppetmon line(Mushroomon-Woodmon-Cherrymon-Puppetmon)

    -Several fixes to various lines not having the proper requirements.

    -The
    total amount of stats a digimon can have has been reduced from 9999/999
    to 999/255 respectively(Thank you vanilla minecraft for putting a hard
    cap on maximum health and screwing over my mod)

    -Eggs will now give you more of a hint on how close they are to hatching...

    -Digimon will now be instantly selected when removing them from a v-pet.


    Blocks

    -More vending machine fixes

    -Digizoid hoes can now be used to make digital farmland out of either grass or digigrass

    -The stairs/slabs included in the decoration update have been temporarily removed.


    Items

    -The alarm clock can now be used to instantly age any digimon that is not in egg form, in addition to instantly hatching eggs for all you cheaters out there

    -Digizoid weapons and tools are now able to be repaired with their respective digizoid colors.

    -Added a new sword?

    -The Bone staff and Battle Tomahawk have been temporarily removed.

    Known Issues

    -There are still likely many issues to resolve from the port to 1.8.9. Please post any bugs you may find.

    Sounds like you are using a wrong version of something somewhere if your launcher is closing. But since you gave us no details, I really can't say much else.

    Demanding us to add certain digimon in a certain line is not constructive nor "good" criticism. Neither is yelling "MAKE THE MOD EASIER", and that's all I will say about your previous post.

    I promise you we are aware of Machinedramon, and his line. I can also promise you that we will rarely use lines from DMO, because a lot of them are just thrown together without rhyme or reason, and I'm not going to do that.

    I can promise you that Machinedramon will come from Hagurumon, but not just Hagurumon. I can promise you that Machinedramon will be a jogress of Gigadramon and Megadramon, instead of just coming from Megidramon.

    I can also promise you will see him sooner rather than later.

    But for now, know that we aren't doing him in the DMO line, and that demanding we do certain digimon and put them on certain lines is just annoying

    This topic is for mod discussion only. Server discussion can be found at our forum. But so answer your question, I have seen you try go log on and the console keeps saying you have the wrong version. Considering you said "pack" I'm going to guess you're using a modpack. I would suggest downloading the most up to date version of the mod, and stop trying to use modpacks(which are not supported)



    Edit: Just looked at the log from where you tried to log in, and apparently you didn't even have digimobs installed. That might help.
