Hey everyone. I'm sorry. My router got fried in a storm so I'm without internet access at home until Wednesday the 3rd of July. D: On the bright side I'll have lots of time to work on textures. On the down side...I won't be able to post them until I get access back.
Love all the ideas, everyone. And if they aren't changed for the main download (I have to say that I really like the regular 'chiseled' blocks for the iron/gold/lapis/etc, but I also like the alternatives) they can at least be included in the download as alternates for people who like them better.
I'm sorry about the delay for 1.6. I do have it working now, but then my internet decided to up and die.
! I thought you had to use the Curse Client to upload texture packs. Just found out you totally don't. I'll upload the 1.5.2 version as soon as I can get my extra 'working' files pulled out and things organized.
I'll see about putting up some alternate downloads...it's hard to remember to update all of the links when you have four or five sources. The more uploading I have to do, the more chance there is for me to mess something up. XD
I dont like the All Wooden Planks and the Glass Pane, And the glass pane isnt connected and Oak Wood Logs sorry man can you retexture it?
That really doesn't help me much...I'd be happy to make some alts, but I don't want to do the same thing with those.
Is it the color? Or maybe the edge strips on the planks or glass? Is it the top 'cut' part of the log or the sides? If you give me some idea of what exactly it is you don't like or give me an example of one you -do- like I might be able to do something with an alt.
I have some CTM textures up here, too, and those would make the glass connect. (OH! Concerning 1.5.2...I found out what was up with it. It's just some numbers that needed to be changed in the config. I'll have to re-upload the fixed text file for everyone.)
I got so devoted to it that I won't use any other packs, even when I'm playing maps that suggest a pack. XD Been playing around in Letters from A Dead Earth for a while and instead of using the recommended texture pack, I made new textures for SummerFields and started shoving them in. (They really aren't anything spectacular. Some asphalt textures is all.)
Say, come to think of it I have yet to actually say anything about what I think of this pack...(Which is exactly why I created this account..~_~) so where would I go to do this...It would be a very organized and concise wall of praise\text\and to a lesser degree, critique...?
Anywhere you like on here I suppose. As far as I know there aren't any special areas for that on the forums. (Though that would be awesome. A whole section dedicated to reviews. :D)
I really like your Texture Pack, I've used it for 2 months, i really like the Yellowish Grass Block, Wheat, especially Leaves (On Fancy) and all other stuff. but i dont really like the Oak Wood Plank and Oak Wood, Glass Pane. Can you retexture it please? im sorry if im being rude to you
Greetings,
Connett
It would be 'miss', but that's OK. What exactly is it you don't like about the textures you listed? There are a myriad of things I could do to change them, but with no idea what it is that's bothering people I can't fix it or offer a solution.
Hi Woozle.
I'm nilbog and Japanese, so I'm not good at English. If my English is collapsed, please don't mind.
I'm now working to Summerfields BuildCraft Support texture to suit for latest version 3.6.0.
That mean's, I split "gfx\buildcraft\blocks\blocks.png" and "gfx\buildcraft\items\items.png" into several indivisual textures, and Draw a new texture some are not supported yet.
If you want to use the results of my work, I would want to provide it.
in other word, I want to help you !
But in fact, my work has not be done yet.
So, if winish, I comment again.
I'm glad my work if useful.
Yes, you can send it in and I'll post a link to share it with everyone. Thank you for taking the time to split the textures and fill in the gaps.
Yeah, but in the long run, will this be better for you? I ask because I wouldn't know. I don't work on texturepacks. What's your opinion? I'm curious!
I'm hoping it will be. I know that splitting the pack was tedious for me (because the tool to automatically do it didn't like Linux for some reason), but it made it so much easier to swap textures around and see which ones weren't working right. It's a lot faster to pop open a 32x32 file and tinker with it than trying to find the right texture on the sheet and make sure they all line up and don't overlap any.
My working file for the old style looked like a mass of gridlock because of all the guides I snapped so I could get everything lined up. XD
It really doesn't help matters much when I keep getting more and more RL stuff to take up my time.
Haha, NOOOOO. I'll be working on it. I just have to get everything converted into a resource pack so it will still work.
I think Mojang likes watching texture artists run around like crazy people converting things. First the 1.5 split textures and now a whole new way of doing things.
I'm probably going to just have to start re-doing textures for Forestry. D: I can't find the ones that I had done. Doh. It's OK, they're bound to look even better. (I didn't realize how much I missed my bees...BEES BEES BEES BEES...XD)
I'll have to find the textures again. D: I seem to have lost my Forestry stuff. It may be that it's on the old hard drive that broke. I hope not...I really -really- hope not. Otherwise I'll have to start all over again. (Which I will...I will, it will just be a pain to re-do stuff.)
Anyway, with the latest snapshot it looks like this is the end of SummerFields as a texture pack...I'll have to convert it into a resource pack. XD I hope they settle on something soon...it's tedious to keep converting things around.

I think what Ellikotten was trying to ask was if you had changed the clay texture so it would tile without errors.

I'm loving that diamond horse armor.

And I love critique. It helps me find my way.

Wow. Thanks for doing that! *sneaks over and steals the default horse textures and starts working on them* Muhahahaha.
I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My e-mail is [email protected]

And today I -finally- have a day with nothing that I have to do so I can get some work done on the pack! Here I come textures...*dives in*

*watches back* O.O Stare long at the woozle and the woozle stares back.
It's seriously like every time I get started on support, Mojang goes and changes stuff to break the pack.
